Harriet 'Harry' Lily Potter was upset; no, not upset. She was, quite frankly, angrier than she'd ever been. Freaking HYDRA and their kidnapping people. She grumbled quietly to herself as she carved runes into the metal arm they gave her to hide it and make it look normal.
Echo (also known as Nicole Coulson) was waiting for someone to meet up with her at a local pub in Germany. Her left arm was hidden in a dark green jacket with a hood that covered her face. She prayed that HYDRA wouldn't appear at any second and take her back.
Harry stepped into the German pub she and Echo had agreed to meet in when they escaped from HYDRA. Looking around, she noticed an unknown in the corner with a green jacket, hood covering the person's face. Harry walked over and muttered lowly in German, "HYDRA shall fall, for the escaped assets shall conquer them."
This was the passcode she and Echo had agreed on when they escaped so they could ensure that it was really the other that they were talking to and not some other agent.
"And their fall shall Echo across the world." Echo replied in German as she lifted her head. "Did you get anything on HYDRA yet?" She asked Harry as a curious gleam flashed in her eyes.
Harry shook her head. "Unfortunately, no. But I did learn that we won't have to worry about the Winter Soldier, at least from HYDRA. He went rogue about the same time we did, but he managed to escape earlier." She explained, ordering a bottle of some strong alcohol. When it came, she took a large gulp of it, draining possibly a quarter of the bottle. "That really helps with coming to terms with this," she told Echo. "Want some?" She offered the bottle.
"No thanks." Echo said thinking about a plan. "What if we went to find The Winter Solider?" She asked out loud.
Harry raised an eyebrow, but thought about it. "It depends if he has all his memories back. But we'd also need to find out who he even is. Maybe he doesn't have them all back and will try to take us in somewhere. Not necessarily HYDRA but not exactly somewhere we want to be." Harry took another drink. "Either way, it's been almost seventy years for me. I don't have anyone to worry about me, or that I worry about, anymore, so I guess it's up to you. It's not like I need to find anything directly." Harry shrugged.
"You could be right. But lets just figure out where he is first and if he proves not to be a threat we can talk to him or we go to the Avengers cause I most likely know some people there that can help us." She said trying to remember who she remembers but the faces are blurry.
Harry raised an eyebrow at that but didn't comment. Regaining her memories was something Echo had to do on her own, it wasn't anything Harry could really help with. She wasn't a psychologist. "Alright then, I suppose we're off to America." Getting up, Harry offered a grim smile (which was more like a grimace) to Echo, and grabbed another bottle. "Let's go then."
"No more for you." Echo said grabbing the bottle and putting it back. She walked along side Harry as she pulled her hood up against the brisk wind. She thinks about what memories she has. All she sees is a man with dark hair but his face is blurry and he's handing her the metal arm she is wearing.
Harry muttered under her breath as they walked about not getting enough alcohol, but didn't really fight it, knowing Echo was right that she shouldn't have any more.
A few minutes of walking, Echo stopped and was pulling her bag (she'd been wearing it the whole time) off her shoulder and pulled out a laptop. "I'll get us on the next ship or ships to America." She said as she sits on the corner typing and possibly hacking.
Harry nodded and kept an eye out around them. Whether Echo was just booking a cruise or hacking into some warehouse ship, Harry didn't know, nor did she particularly care. If it got them away from the place where HYDRA had the most bases, she was okay with it.
"And done." Echo said as she got them onto a warehouse ship. "One leaves in twenty minutes so we better run." Echo said quickly gathering her bag, shoving her computer in and started sprinting towards the docks.
Harry chased after her, easily keeping up. Huh, even after almost 80 years of not dealing with Dudley she kept the speed she had gotten from running from him (it had never been a good idea to fight him, the fat tub of lard that he was). Harry grinned at Echo, feeling, for once, like the twenty year old she had been before HYDRA. "Race you there!" And with that, she sped up, hearing both her own and Echo's laugh in her ears.
"I'm gong to win!" Echo yells gaining speed as the went down hill. When they reached the docks, they were out of breath and Echo leaped up with joy as she won by one inch! "Good race Harry." She said truly smiling since she escaped HYDRA.
Harry chuckled, knowing that her race had done what she intended it to do and got Echo feeling happier. "Good race." She echoed (pun intended). They got on the warehouse boat and hid behind some barrels as the whistle/horn thing sounded and the boat began to move. Harry sat down and began meditating, searching through the fuzzy memories of HYDRA and all her missions, and making sure she remembered. Harry wanted to pay her respect in some way to the families she broke apart, and remembering her victims and helping their families from the shadows was the best way she could think to do that.
