Prologue

It's 7:30 in the morning when I wake up to the sound to an alarm clock going off. I look to the left where my window is and groan. I really don't want to get up but today is the big day.

Today I am going to the air port to fly to Florida where I was accepted into a college I've wanted to go to for a while now. I can't wait to get to the University of Florida. On that thought, I got out of bed and ran to the bathroom to take a hot shower.

After taking my shower I grabbed my suitcase that had my clothes in, my two boxes that had my makeup and personal necessities. Looking in the mirror I decided to put on makeup to make a good first impression and hopefully get at least one friend today. Setting down my box I decided on a light coat on base, eyeliner, mascara, and some eye shadow would be good enough since my flight didn't take off until 12:30.

I decided to wear a nice black crop top, a pair of white high waisted shorts, and a pair of black converse. Looking back into my vanity mirror, I decide I look pretty damn cute but maybe that's just me.

"Taylor I'm ready.. do you think we could go get some breakfast before I have to go to the airport?" I yelled downstairs.

"Yes sure thing Jessy, just come down with your stuff and we can go to the diner," yelled Taylor.

Running down the stairs I grab my purse and keys and wait for Taylor at the car. Once Taylor is in the car I turn to her and a tear slides down my face before I can think better of it. I try to wipe it away before my makeup runs but Taylor beat me to it.

"Thanks Tay, I don't think I could have asked for a better friend," I sobbed into her shoulder.

"It's no problem Jess, I'm going to miss you so much when your off to college.. do you think you can face time me when you get there so I can meet your roommate?" She asked me sobbing as well.

"Sure, but I don't even know if my roommate is a bitch or not... truth be told I'm kinda scared and do you think we can skip breakfast I just wanna get on the plane and go," I shakily admit.

"Yeah let's go,"she breathes.
