Ronnie's Perspective:
You'd think we would've grasped the concept of no possibility of a happy world coming back. But yet, we still hold hope for the future of this godforsaken country called America, land of the free, home of the brave. Yada yada. If we're so free, why did they initialize this disease in the first place. I bet these bigots are in a bunker hiding like pussies because of what we'd do if they came out as the ones who caused the D.E.M.
These Jesus freaks want the second coming of Christ, so they're trying to destroy the world. Soon, they're gonna make this thing worldwide and accept to be raptured. It's all bullshit to be honest with you. And the worst part is, I was ready for this. My name is Ronnie Mathers and believe me, I've been ready for this sort of thing since I learned what conspiracy theorists were. Or what a conspiracy theory was. Ever since the government was corrupted by religious scumbags of America, everything went to shit. More riots, more disease, more bigotry and ignorance.
It's a total shitstorm. We aren't ever going back to the way things were before the corruption and the virus. It corroded your brain like a virus on a computer. It took over every sense you have. It makes you go crazy and starts killing you from the inside and out. You start to get the really bad munchies. As well as you feel the need to twitch your neck uncomfortably. It's really creepy. Scares the hell out of me every time I see one do that.
Anyways, I'm sort of running for my life here and might die. There's a LOT, I mean, A LOT of Demites behind me. Demites, the infected. They are very hard to run away from when there's a bunch of them. But there's like six bunches after me. Which that is, A LOT. A bunch is at least 10, so there's about 60 behind me.
There was a building right around the corner that I knew of, I booked it to the building and tried to get in. Doors were locked, shit! I ran to the fire escape and climbed the ladder. Luckily, I have a giant tub full of guts on the roof to hide in. They can't smell you if you coat yourself in their scent.
I'm still going up the ladder when I see something in the distance, looks sort of like a person with a gun. I get to the roof and look at the person, still trying to NOT get eaten. I stood in front of the tub and look towards him or her.
BANG! I was shot right through the torso and my black T-shirt, knocking me out and falling into the tub.
Ro's Perspective:
Everything is gone, there is nothing left. Sure there are survivors out there somewhere but the hope of regaining what we once lost is impossible. I think this to myself every day as this epidemic goes on. The only thing I could hear was my thought and the panting breath of my dog Bear, my only friend or family left that I know of. Bear was once a training police dog. I found Bear when he was 2 months old at the police station in the K9 unit. It's just him and I...
BANG!
A gun fired.
"What the hell was that? Come on bear, we gotta go," I said.
***
BANG!
It fired once more this time hitting me in the shoulder.
"Owww!" I yelped. I started running towards the woods, I felt dizzy, and fell to the ground, then a man started running toward me. I somehow managed to crawl behind tree, Bear was at my side guarding me and watching for my shooter.
This hurts, that son of a bitch! Now I have to go into town to try and find something to patch this up. There is a town not far from here.
Ro started walking towards the town. Her shoulder being in pain didn't slow her down, Ro was tough she could take a bullet and keep going, she showed no emotion accept towards Bear. He was the only thing she had left, their bond is stronger than many.
