I pass Sky on her bike. Her ashy-blonde/silver hair was pulled back into a ponytail and she was wearing one of my old jackets. The ponytail that would usually hang down to her hips, was flying behind her.

"Stop the car." I told my driver.

My dad looked shocked when I jumped out of the still moving vehicle and ran over to the girl on the bike. I stopped about a yard in front of her, and she skidded to a stop.

"Max. I was heading out to see you. I have something I wanted to tel-"

My father got out and walked over to us, sneering as he passed Sky.

"Maxwell, we have to get back soon. This is no time to be chatting with Ms. Jade." He hissed Sky's last name between his teeth. "We've definitely found the right one this time."

No they hadn't. They never would. She wasn't a Blue Blood. She was standing right in front of me. My mate. My pack's Luna. My Luna. My Sky. The pack would know, but since my dad won't be in the pack once it becomes mine, he didn't. Mom and Dad will become rogues.

"Father?"

"Yes, Maxwell?"

"I have an idea. Sky is coming with us. She should know."

Sky watched, obviously confused.

"Fine. Only this once. But if your mother finds this stressful she is not to come back. EVER."

I picked up Skylar and took her to the car. You couldn't tell she was a Marine. It was kind of funny. She left right after high school and she was gone for four years. I had thought she moved until she came back three months ago. She's different than what she used to be and I'm still here being bossed around by my dad at the age of 24.

She just went with it. I knew she was going to be the pack's Luna since second grade. Every time I was around her I'd get all blushy and crap and it was so annoying. I used to get teased for "crushing on the awkward girl," then she grew into her body and, holy crap, guys AND girls were gushing over her in high school. It was funny because she was so popular and she only stood up for the weaker people.

She fell asleep halfway to our destination. When we reached the pack's land I didn't even bother waking her up but as the door opened you could hear the sounds of 40 paws heading towards us. There were already six people surrounding the car, not counting the pack's current Luna, my mother. As soon as ten huge wolf heads popped out, there was loud howling as I stepped out of the car, a sleeping Skylar in my arms.

I sent all the pack members around us a glare. Once it quieted down, and Skylar stilled, the only sound was heavy breathing of the wolves who had ran here from training. I walked to the "Pack House", which happened to be mainly my families house, with an exeption of a handful of rogue orphans who were too small to cause any harm at the time. The "Soon-To-Be" Beta ran up to me and smirked, as I had some people trying to get a better look at their Luna.

"I'll go get Joy. She was helping the 'Blue Blood' get ready. I'll tell her there's no need to help that stuck up -"

" That's enough Mason. There's no call for that." my dad cut him off.

" Okay, Mr. W." Mason said running off to find his mate.

"Don't call me that, Mr. Williams!" my dad yelled after him.

I walked into the house and run right into a short girl with tan skin with dyed universe hair. Her green-gold eyes landed on Sky and she squealed.

" Really, Joy? Can't you see she's trying to sleep?" I half joked with a chuckle.

"I'm just so excited so shut up. I don't think we could stand another blood moon with your parents."

"Oi, shut up about blood moons. I don't even know if Sky would accept us."

"She would." a familiar voice chimed in as arms were wrapped around Joy's waist.

She didn't look tense until she relaxed into Mason's chest. I left them in the living room before I saw something I didn't want to see. I headed up the stairs. I laid Skylar on my bed and kissed her head.
