Life was in love with Death, and Death in love with her. Life loved to create, and she made countless gifts for her love. Death loved her gifts and held onto them forever. But some of her creations, she loved more than the rest of them and held onto them longer. These were also some of Death's favorites. One of their favorites was a tortoise, named Tu'i Malila.
