It was a cool Friday, midsummer morning, with the mist stroking the man's calm face as he stared out into ocean. The sun creeping over the surface of the calm still water; the sun was golden and warm. It was a great morning until I realized I didn't remember coming here. In fact, I didn't remember anything at all. I ran over to the man and asked him where I was... he didn't answer. He just sat there. He didn't even blink, so I asked again. Still nothing ... not even movement. Then I asked him if hi was ok. And once again, no response, so I reached out to touch his face; it was only then that I realized that the man I was talking to was a test dummy. It had looked so real, which was creepy. I'm guessing I am alone and stuck on this beach. I'm not even sure if I am on the mainland anymore. So I set out to look for someone, anyone, to help.

It was at least two days before I found any sign of human life, real human life, and it was a rusted gun. The gun was falling apart in my hands due to the salt. But the whole time I was there, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched. So needless to say, I didn't get much sleep and it began to show. It was at minimum, 48 hours since I slept and my mind was fuzzy at best. The worst part was not knowing how or why I was here or even where here was.
