Chapter 2

       As I watched the camp instructor disappeared the camp broke into chaos  " What will we do" " Kill the little twerp", And suddenly Jake grabbed me and dragged me to the big house I saw before. " Where are you taking me" "To the oracle of course" said Jake.  " what will happen" I said nervously " Either you will lose your mind" " What!" " Or the Oracle will give you a quest"  He continued he shoved me into the house and said " Go to the attic. " OK, I got this" I whispered to myself as I climbed to the top of the stairs and opened the door.  " Uh... Oracle lady what should I do?" " A bright light appeared and I saw the same guy from my dad's pictures... Ares. " Kid" "Ares" I said nervousness growing into my stomach"  " Kid go to New York find the gate to the underworld. Get information how to find chiron from Sisyphus. By have fun. Then I was at the cabin I slept in. I saw Paul on the way sneaking out and I got his attention. " What are you doing Jason! They are looking for you" " I met Aries he told me  some info how to find Charon" I quickly filled him in."  " Yes I wondered if you would..." " Come on a dangerous quest to the underworld! " " No Jason I am not gonna have a life because I brought you here" " You have nothing to lose" " Afterwords I am gonna have a simple satyr life, okay Jason" " Yeah bud"  After we set off the first stop was away from the camp at a store for rich people. After hours of walking through woods we came to The Texas Roadhouse. At once I spotted a red Lamborghini. " Paul saw me walking to it with an grin and grabbed me. " Jason don't steal a car " " We can't walk to New York" I knew I got him from his silence. I pulled out a pick and lock the goofy kid gave me at breakfast. I knew how to pick a lock out of all the times I broke into lockers to get money to feed Paul. I tried for a few minutes and click. Paul and I quickly climbed into the car. Paul got to work hot wiring the car and In 15 minutes the car started. I got to the wheel gunned it. If not my dad had let me drive his car in Death Valley we wold have a problem. Paul and I broke into a horrible miss-beated song "were on the highway to hell, On the highway to hell Highway to hell I'm on the highway to hell, No stop signs, speed limit Nobody's gonna slow me down Like a wheel, gonna spin it." We broke into laughter. That night we camped out in the car pulled up on the side of the street. I woke to Paul shaking me "Gun it  Jason" " What" " Something big is charging us gun it man or were goat meat!" " What is it!" I  asked as we exited the highway. "Hydra!" " Like the hydra Heracles fought, not the one with many heads!" I said freaking out. "I am afraid so" Paul said grimy.  " OK we lost it" As soon as I said that something jumped onto the car of the roof. "Jason do not ever say, We lost is it is basic karma!"  The side doors ripped off and we swerved into a gas station. " Paul! Where are you" " Right here Jason!" I ran over to him and he tackled me. " Down Jason"  Paul said a a clump of acid flew over our heads. We got up and faced the creature. It charged and I screamed "Split up!"  Paul went left I went right. I had an idea. "Paul distract it" "Doing a good job at that right now as he ran behind the store!" I ran over to the car wreckage and spotted the bow and arrow. The only practice I had was nature camp. " Jason look out" I turned and fired an arrow right into one of it's seven head's. It went limp and I ran to my pant's that I  had matches stored for camping. I grabbed one and lit an arrow on the ground. " Paul run!" He understood and ran I quickly grabbed the sword and quiver and ran for it to Paul. Just then the beast charged out of confusion. I fired the flaming arrow at the nearest  gas pump and the whole gas station blue up in flamed. The  Hydra howling in the background, Sirens wailing as the came closer. " Jason let's go." We rushed out and found a place to sleep a mile away. " How far are away" " 2 miles Jason."  " Bud" "Yeah" How come my dad never mentioned this?" Then I realized he was out. " Good night to you too" I thought I could not fall asleep but drowsiness got to me and I was out .
