I yawn and peer out of my pink curtains. Surprisingly, for my gloomy attitude, it was bright and sunny outside.

I swing my legs to the right side of the bed and sit there, head in hand, and start thinking about Alvin.

For as long I've remembered, Alvin and I have liked each other.

We were so freakishly alike, it was unreal. Even though sometimes he got on my damn nerves, and I on his, we always 'fessed up in different ways.

So, what's with the sudden interest in my younger sister Jeanette, Alvin? What does she have that I don't?

And anyway, Alvin liked adventure. Jeanette was boring, the definition of it. He would get tired of her so fast, it's not even funny.

He's better savor me while he's got me. I'm not the type to wait on a guy to come back around.

Either Alvin, make up your damn mind; or I will make up a damned decision.

And Alvin will regret everything if I chose the latter.
