I loudly groaned, tossing my head in every direction as I angrily shook my head, which resulted in a crazy dance performed by my dark hair. My anger was solely based on the increasing echo of constant cheering and annoying guffaws that were escaping my brother, Chris's room.

Despite the heaviness of my eyelids due to lack of sleep, and the fact that my long hair was fashioned in a bizarre style of tangles due to the continuous act of me tossing and rolling around in bed, I stomped my feet onto the cold wooden floorboards of my room, as I ferociously flung my blanket to the other side of my bed, every inch of the cold now biting my bare skin on my arms and legs.

If anyone was watching my actions through the darkness that engulfed my room, they wouldn't hesitate to agree that I was furious. Loudly stomping across the floor, I pushed open my door using all my force, causing it to bang into the wall outside my room. The vibrations and noise from the bang decreased the irritating sounds from my brother's room and evidently, all the sounds had turned into hushed whispers. I was glad this happened; it meant that I had now grasped his attention, and could dramatically make an entrance into his room.

Without a care in the world that Chris would mind me entering his room without knocking, I happily, yet fiercely kicked his door open, revealing a set of faces I hated to see at 2 am. Sprawled across the fluffy black carpet that covered the floor, were four bodies looking at me with bewildered expressions. Anger was etched across every inch of my face, my fists balled, as I stared at my brother and his friends menacingly.

''Why can't you shut your mouths?'' I bellowed at the top of my lungs, my eyes darted back and forth on each person, then finally rested on Chris.

''Woah, calm down Delilah! We're just having fun!'' Chris laughed, his eyes glancing back onto the video game they were previously playing before I stormed in.

"Someone's feisty." said a smiling Kevin, one of Chris's annoying friends.

"For the last hour, I have been trying to sleep, but none of you can shut your ugly faces! Just because mom and dad aren't home, doesn't mean you can invite your stupid fr-" Just as I was about to finish my sentence, I caught a glimpse of a very familiar brown-haired boy, who of course had the same smirk on his face, just like he always did- every time I saw him. It felt as if my temper had reached an alarming height. Every inch of me wanted to scream at Chris for inviting him over. Being unable to speak due to how hot-tempered I was, I threw myself on top of Chris and started to punch his face, occasionally slapping him in the process.

Without noticing, my shirt had uncovered my stomach, my belly button exposed to the cold air the night had to offer. I sensed a feeling of warm fingers seize my waist, and using the strength the fingers had to offer, the arms they were attached to drew me backwards, my balled fists now punching thin air.

Immediately I twisted my head around, only to find the same, unpleasantly familiar brown- haired boy smirking down at me. I frantically gripped his hands that cupped my bare waist and energetically pushed them away from me, crushing them in the process. Leaping onto Chris's bed so quickly, caused me to trip on one of his xbox controllers in the process, sending me flying.

Luckily I was saved by the softness of his bed, and my shirt had crawled up even further due to my quick, yet crazy movements. Before I could do or say anything, I caught Chris's friends including Andrew, the brown- haired guy I hated with all my heart - intently staring at my bare stomach. Noticing where their eyes were, my hands rushed to clasp the ends of my shirt and pulled it downwards.

"Hey there Delilah, what's it like in anger city?" Andrew sang, smirking while doing so. This caused Chris, and his other two friends - Jake and Kevin to go into a fit of laughter. They were clutching their stomachs, and slowly sank to their knees, unable to catch their breath from their excessive amount of chortling.

I couldn't stand being around them. Even if it meant that they were to continue their insanely loud howling and chuckling all night, I wouldn't enter the room again, and try to get them to be quiet. I decided I would have to tolerate the pain of their repulsive and agitating behaviour. I just couldn't do anything about it. It was four boys against one girl.

Seeing my brother, Kevin and Jake, try to recover from their hysterical behaviour made me turn around to the root cause of me lashing out on Chris. I faced Andrew, looked into his deep, brown eyes, and said, "Get away from me." - through gritted teeth.

Andrew's smirk didn't fade, he stared into my eyes, and said, "Whatever you say, Delilah," finishing his sentence by singing my name like it was sang in the song, and finally winking at me, before I bolted out of Chris's room, while Chris shouted in the process - "Delilah - wait!" I chose to ignore him, because unfortunately he was still finding it hard to fight the urge to laugh at Andrew's comment.

As soon as I landed back in my room, I hopped on top of my bed, and screamed in my pillow.I  pounded my fists on the sides and kicked my legs with all the strength I could muster.I absolutely hated Chris right now.Whenever Andrew was around, I wanted to bang my head in a wall. I hated him; his personality was revolting, including the fact that he slept with many girls at school. Why didn't Chris care that I couldn't stand to see Andrew in the same building? Wasn't seeing him in school enough? I was so adamant on believing that Chris liked to torture me by bringing Andrew around and ruining my day.

*

My last class of the dayhad just finished.  I was casually walking through the school hallway, glancing at all the students that were dispersed everywhere; chatting and talking with loud voices. I finally saw my locker, and opened it, rushing to stuff the heavy books I had been carrying inside it. My thoughts had drifted somewhere else, as it took me a couple of minutes to realise I wasn't the only one standing beside my locker.

The same brown eyes stared into mine, a smirk plastered on his face. Naturally, I rolled my eyes. Avoiding his presence wasn't easy, so I simply looked away from his face, and plainly asked, "What do you want?"

"Oh Delilah, you can't ignore me all the time." he smiled, leaning closer to my locker.

"Save it, pretty boy. I'm not stupid enough to let you copy off my assignment for Mr.Brooks'class", I coolly spoke, making my way to the end of the hallway.

He sighed, the looked of disappointment clearly evident on his face. Just as he was about to speak, Chris's voice echoed in the hallway - which was nearly empty, as everyone rushed to get home. "Delilah!" he cried, as his lips broke into a smile.

"There you are. Finally." I sighed, and glanced over at Andrew, who was smirking at Chris. It made me feel as if they knew something I didn't. Raising my eyebrows, I silently asked "Why are you smiling at me like that?"

"You're in for a surprise." he chuckled, playfully punching Andrew's shoulder.

"Chris." I said, a serious look overtaking my face.

"Mom called, and since they aren't home until tomorrow, she said Mrs. Garfield invited us for dinner." he smiled, enjoying the look of pain on my face. This was Chris's idea of complete fun. He was able to hang out with his best friend for as long as he liked, and there was me - dreading to even be around Andrew for even another minute.

I reclined my head backwards, closed my eyes, and groaned. My hair bounced backwards, and I raised my head just in time to see Andrew winking at me,as a smirk formed on his face. Hours of  being able to torture me. What more could he want?
