My name is Pete I live on an island that's truly out in the middle of nowhere. The ocean is my way of life, I fish on weekends, go to school at 6:15 on the weekdays and come home to the same house I've lived on for 17 years.
I was tossing and turning trying to sleep when the dreaded beep of my alarm clock went off or so I thought. I looked over at my alarm clock to see that it was 5:45. I jumped out of bed grabbed my keys, cell phone and tripped over my clothes as I tried to put them on. Then I darted out of my house, started my car and I was off to school. It seemed like I hit every red light on the way to school. Finally I parked my car grabbed my keys and ran for the door. As I pushed through the crowds of "sloths"in the hallway I could smell the coffee cakes that the pta mom's were making for coffee cake Wednesday. When I got to my class I sat down just as the ball rang. Everyone was laughing, I didn't know what they were laughing at so I laughed too. That was un till I realized that my chair was covered in olive oil. My teacher hadn't noticed so I made sure I was on my best behavior, so she wouldn't notice. After class everyone made remakes to me like "hey what's cooking" and "what's up potato". They didn't have very good jokes about it. Walking through the halls was miserable because people kept on bumping into me, stepping on my heel, and listening to music louder than an AC/DC concert. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that headphones and ear buds were invented for a reason. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse I bumped into a girl I had never seen before. Her papers were scattered like a bunch of little bouncy balls. "oh I'm sorry" I responded without hesitation. She said "It's ok, I wasn't looking where I was going." I helped her pick up her papers. Then I said, "my name is Pete what's yours?" She looked up at me as she picked up the last paper and responded with, "I'm Jordan." She was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. She smelled of candy, she had green eyes that sparked like emeralds, wavy blond hair, lips red as a rose and freckles that reminded me of the stars in the sky at night. It's needless to say that I was last for my next class, but I didn't care. The next day during second period passing time I looked for her. I found her by her hair, my heart started to beat. I'm just gonna play it smooth I replayed in my mind. Now was my chance it was now or never. I bumped in to her, I said "sorry I didn't see you there." Her blond waves turned as she went to gaze upon my face, my heart had started to pound faster as she said in a manly voice "be more careful." Now I truly was sorry, "I thought that you were someone else." I responded quickly. He rolled up his selves and made a fist. As his fist came closer to my face, I could hear someone calling my name, I felt my body shake. I opened my eyes to see my mom saying my name. I inquired "what's wrong?" She replied, " Are you ok? I'm not sure what you were dreaming about but I could hear the intensity from the other room, look it's 2 in the morning. My body was covered in sweat, my eyes fluttered for a few minutes then I closed my eyes.
