"Feed the cat first Mira!"
Mira smiled as her dad told her to feed her cat.
"Come on Ginger."
Ginger the cat followed her owner Mira to the kitchen to get some cat food.
"Eat up"
Mira watched as the kitten ate the food and Mira smiled.
Ever since mom and dad split up, mom's new boyfriend Jay would never let Mira do anything. Mira asked her mom to get a cat but out of nowhere Jay is allergic to cats.
When Mira went to her dads place in the weekend, her dad let her get one from the pet shop on main street.
"Ginger is a weird name for a black cat, but your eyes are a ginger colour."
Ginger looked at Mira and titled her head making the little girl laugh.
"I've heard black cats grant wishes is that true.?"
The cat didn't answer, but looked like she knew something Mira didn't.
"Oh well. Stay off the white couch and roam around. I have school tomorrow goodnight."
Mira went up to bed.
