Narrator: Plato and Phidias had fun talking about their day and the hot topic going around in Greece. They laugh for so a while slowly realizing they have not seen Aristophanes.
Plato: Where is our old fellow Aristophanes he should be here by now.
Phidias: My brother it's Aristophanes we're talking about his passion. he must be finishing up his fantastic playwright that he was talking about for the past months.
Aristophanes: My brothers, I have finish my written play, Oh how the lovely passion I have written within this play. It is about the Olympics!
Phidias: The Olympics!
Plato: Although the Olympics is a very exciting event, how is the Olympics important?
Aristophanes: Why you shall say, well it's the achievement of Pericles bring his legacy to Greece.
Plato: But how could the Olympics glorify Athens? Exactly it doesn't it only Strengthens the Democracy since it involves more people in the government.
Phidias: I beg to differ, yes, the olympics does strengthen the democracy, but it also glorifies Athens, since it would require decorations all over the city!
Plato: I shall give you that, bt it does not expand the empire at all.
Aristophanes: I agree with that, but it does encourage athletes all over!
Plato: Okay, okay, I guess the Olympics does cover all of Pericles Goals, but I say that instead of Hosting the Olympics, we shall Create a school for Philosophy!
Phidias: You are just all about Philosophy, aren't you
Aristophanes: Well in fact, he is a philosopher.
Plato: Just think about it! It would be interesting and new, and it also covers all of Pericles Goals!
Aristophanes: (pretends to clear his throat)
Plato: Let me rephrase that, it also covers all of Pericles Goals besides Expanding the empire
Phidias: it does strengthen the democracy since it expands other perspectives for voting.
Aristophanes: I shall write a play about the nature around Athens to glorify!(he says very enthusiastically
Plato: What can I say (he shrugs his shoulders)
Phidias: We are not here to argue we are here to celebrate the goals of Pericles.
(Phidias raising his glass)
Phidias: To Pericles!
Aristophane and Plato: To Pericles!
They drink and continue to eat their dinner and talk about other things they did and how proud they are to believe in Pericles.
