"Eon, I'm hungry, when are we going home. Get me a sandwich," Cassidy complained for the eighteenth time that afternoon.

"Look Cassie, I would love to buy you everything you want but I'm out here without permission and so are you," Eon glared over at her, "and while I may be the younger then you by four years, you're twenty and should be able to get stuff for yourself. I mean you been missing for eight years and now look, here you are whining at me for food."

"Eon, I don't care, just get me food," Cassidy glared at him with a look of pure hate and also pure hunger.

Eon ignored the look, "You know you worried mom and dad, they sent half the palace looking for you for the first few weeks that you were missing, and I got to be locked in my room for a month because of the possibility you were being held for ransom."

Cassidy stopped, Eon just kept walking and really could've been less bothered to stop. He assumed that Cassidy was looking at more sandwiches and wasn't going to stop long enough for her to force him to buy her some.

"Eon," Cassidy beckoned Eon back over to her, "Isn't that Uncle Michael. The Duke of Fensworth." She was pointing towards some chubby dude, covered in sweat from walking around, and who had a large bald spot in the back of his head. Eon wasn't sure what Cassidy remembered of their uncle, but he was slim, fit, and to young to start balding.

When he looked back he saw that she was grinning like she had just achieved something spectacular. It took Eon a minute to process the fact that she just duped him and now thought that she was some big thing. It wasn't even another minute before she started talking again.

"Okay, okay, okay, this time I swear I'm not lying, and I swear on my life I just saw Tomas the baker." Eon looked again to see the twenty-year-old ripped baker opening up his stall for the market. When he glanced over at Cassidy she was swing her body back and forth and biting her lip at the site of Tomas.

"Come on, I have better things to worry about, my friend said he is willing to take me with him to a fighting tournament if I'm ready by ten. So please don't ruin this one chance of fun for me." Eon begged pulling Cassidy along after him.

"Fine, I will stop begging me if you let me talk to Tomas for ten minutes with you standing far away, I don't want my younger brother, the prince heir causing a commotion while we," she bit her lip again trying to hold back a deep smirk, "chat."

"So says the princess, oh wait I forgot you aren't true royalty, you're adopted." Eon said. He knew that one struck her hard, he hated resorting to that kind of thing but it really ticked him off when Cassidy or someone else called him a prince out in public. Especially since he really didn't want a wandering guard to overhear and drag him back to the palace. It wasn't fun being grounded and getting locked inside for a week.

"Fine. Whatever, I'll visit him without you tonight, 'cause only you true royalty have guards. I don't. Haha, I win," Cassidy flaunted her freedom in Eon's face.

"Mature," Eon grumbled, " anyway I don't have to have guards if I go out in public in disguise." He had hated being cooped up at the palace for long periods of time. Right now he had the perfect chance to rebel a little and enjoy the freedomness of freedom. And hang out with his childhood friend. But freedom, to Eon, was more important.

"And how long do you think that will protect you from King Zion when you don't have any real protection," Cassidy retorted.

"Well isn't that why you know how to use a sword and I learned lots and lots of self-defense." Eon waited for a snarky reply from his older adopted sister.

Eon walked away after she stayed silent, he followed the back roads to the one path that his parents didn't know about, and that led to and from the castle. It was also super secluded, but nothing bad ever happened in a secluded place.
