"This is so cool!" You said, running in. The carpet tickled your feet through your socks. Kakyoin walked in after you. You twirled around.
"This is just like watching a toddler," he marveled. You laughed. "Well, this toddler is gonna beat you to the other side of the room!" You began to run. "Oh, it's on!" Yelled Kakyoin, as he picked up pace and started to catch up to you. You both giggled as you desperately tried to catch up to each other.
You touched the wall and Kakyoin touched it shortly after. You collapsed on top of each other in a exhausted heap. "Haah...I beat you...Haah..." you gasped. "You just...haah...got a head start!" Kakyoin said. You giggled and sat up. "You're like the brother I never had, Kakyoin. You're the best."
Kakyoin blushed. "Does this mean that..." you raised an eyebrow in anticipation for what he was going to say.
"Does this mean that I can say 'I...love you'?"
He rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm sorry, I'm being cheesy, I just-" but you cut him off with a kiss.
He seemed a little surprised at first, but then he wrapped his arms around you and kissed you back.
You finally pulled away and rested your forehead on his. "I love you too."
You stood up. He was still blushing. "Sorry for the bad confession. I didn't think you'd actually like me..." you nodded. "It's fine. I didn't think you'd like me either, but I just had my first kiss in a conference room, so anything is possible!"
He laughed. "You're so cute." You smiled. "I know."
"Race you back?" Asked Kakyoin. You took a running stance. "You're on!"
---
Several laps later, you decided to leave the conference room and head to go see if there was a pool. Not to swim, just to see what's there.
You both walked down to the dark concrete room with the pool in the middle and a huge glass window spanning from the ceiling to the floor, giving a perfect view of the stars above.
The underwater lights made the pool's waves danced on the wall in a shade of bright teal, and the soft sound of wave lapping the sides of the pool echoed through the room.
You sat on the edge of a pool chair, and Kakyoin joined you. You both just stared at the sky.
"The stars seem to be bigger at the waterfront, huh?" You whispered. Kakyoin gave a soft chuckle as his hand made its way for yours. "No, I believe they know you're watching them," he whispered back. You blushed at his attempt to be romantic. "Kaaaakyoin..." you said, rubbing your neck.
And so you just sat there with him, husband on top of yours, watching the stars. The moment couldn't be more perfect. Then, all of a sudden, a star streaked the sky.
"Make a wish!" You said, pointing at the star. Kakyoin squeezed your hand and closed his eyes. You did as well.
"What did you wish for?" Asked Kakyoin. You shook your head. "I can't tell you, silly! Or else it won't come true!" Kakyoin made a fake pouty face. "Well then, I can't tell you mine either!"
You both walked out of the pool area and headed back towards the floor where you were staying. It was considerably late.
You stood at your door. "Hey, Kakyoin?" You asked. "...Yes?" He answered. You got on your tip-toes and gave him a kiss on his cheek. "Thank you for tonight," you said with a smile. He gave his trademark smile back. "No problem."
You both turned around and started walking towards your rooms. "Hey, Kakyoin?" You asked again. He turned around. "Yes?"
"I love you."
---
After you shut the door to your room, you couldn't wipe the stupidest smile off your face. You squealed. You couldn't believe it! The guy you had been crushing on for weeks had finally confessed!
You lay down on your bed and closed your eyes. You could finally go to sleep.
---
Kakyoin closed the door to his room quietly, trying not to wake Jotaro. He walked in and gave a sigh of relief when he saw Jotaro laying on top of the covers with his hat over his eyes.
Kakyoin got in the covers, but then was startled by a voice. Jotaro's voice to be specific.
"You didn't fuck her, did you?" He asked, his expression staying the same. Kakyoin tensed up for a second. "...what?"
"You know what I'm talking about. Did. You. Fuck. Her." asked Jotaro again. Kakyoin raised his eyebrow. "...No?"
Jotaro turned over. "Dammit. I would have wanted to hear." Then he was silent. Kakyoin whispered a silent 'what the hell' as he pulled the covers over his head and drifted into sleep.
It was a good day, to say the least.
