Her two daughters ran forward and hugged her in unison. Over the years, Caroline had watched them grow up into two beautiful teenagers. They smiled and cried in Caroline's arms.

"Mom," Lizzie said," we missed you so much." Josie nodded in unison.

"I missed you too." She wiped a single tear away, hoping not to ruin her makeup.

Elena came forward and handed her a small box with a ribbon tied on it. She untied it and opened the box.

"They are all the components to your 'something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.'" Elena quoted.

Inside, there was a vintage looking flower pin that probably had to be at least 100 years old. It seemed to glow in the light. There was a brand new ring that was silver with an amethyst jewel on top with the inside engraved with With Love- Lizzie and Josie. She slid the ring on her middle finger on her right hand. Elena's necklace that Stefan had given her years ago also sat in the box. Elena took it and twisted it around her wrist. The very last object was a ribbon of gorgeous blue fabric. Realization hit her when she realized that it was from the dress she wore to Klaus's family party when they danced for hours. It was the night she first realized she loved him.

"I don't even know what to say," Caroline began. "It's all so beautiful. Thank you so much." She reached forward and hugged everyone while sniffling at the same time.

Bonnie then took the ribbon and fixed it around the tiara. She also pinned the pin on the front of her dress and smiled warmly. Words couldn't even explain the moment.

Tears brimmed her eyes as she glanced lovingly at her best friends and her two beautiful teenagers.

Interrupting the moment, Stefan walked in. "Sorry to interrupt the moment but it's time for the ceremony to begin." He smiled kindly, obviously back to his old self.

"Okay," Caroline said. "Let's do this." She grinned enthusiastically at her friend's and finally squealed, "I'm getting married!!"

They all laughed in unison as they separated for the beginning of the wedding. Damon came forward and grabbed Elena's arm as did Enzo grab Bonnie's.

The wedding music began beautifully as Lizzie and Josie started walking down the aisle. Lizzie held a small basket of white rose petals and she gently tossed onto the ground. Josie held the delicate pillow of rings as they both walked together. Following them, Damon and Elena walked together and Bonnie and Enzo followed.

Then it was the moment they had all been waiting for.

Caroline stepped into the light with nothing but a bouquet of beautiful white roses. She stepped slowly down the aisle. Every head turned to see her come down. At the end, Klaus waited patiently, marveling at her beauty. In the small crowd, she spotted Tyler, Matt, Alaric, Jeremy, Klaus's siblings and so many familiar faces. As she glanced up, she could've sworn she saw her mother watching her, smiling proudly. Caroline's breath caught but, in a blink of an eye, she was gone. Caroline smiled, knowing her mother was here in spirit, helping her along the way.

Eventually, she reached the end of the aisle. Klaus held his hand out and she took it. The priest from the local church stood between them.

She cleared her throat and began, "Today, we are here to represent the love between Klaus Mikaelson
and Caroline Forbes. These two souls have found their way into each other's lives in extraordinary ways. Now, Mr. Mikaelson, will you begin your vows?"

He nodded and began, "Caroline, from the first minute I met you, I have loved you. I can't even begin the explain the way I feel about you. As we continue our lives together, I will protect you with all my heart. I won't let anything happen to you... I love you too much to even begin to comprehend, love."

He finished his vows to let Caroline begin.

She grabbed his hand. "Klaus, I love you so much. For years, I was blind to see what connection we had. As we spent more time together, I realized there is no one I would rather be with than you. In the future, I will always stay by your side, no matter how hard life will get. I love you."

She finished her vows and gazed into his eyes. He grinned an innocent smile and squeezed her hand assuringly.

The priest continued, "Klaus Mikaelson, do you take Caroline Forbes as your lawfully wedded wife?"

Klaus replied softly, "I do."

"And do you, Caroline Forbes, take Klaus Mikaelson as you lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do," she breathed.

"I pronounce you now husband and wife," the priest confirmed, smiling.

Klaus stepped forward and grabbed Caroline's face gently and pulled her into a kiss. "I love you," he said, while breathing into the kiss.

She smiled and said, "I love you, too and I'm forever yours."
