I fell onto pieces of my broken heart,
Cut myself.
Bleeding love from my wounds;
A wasted tribute to my soul.
A shadow lingering over me,
Set me free of regret.
A life worth living was all that I sought;
Shattered temple walls were all I found.
The cold echo of a memory going by,
Tears in silence fall.
All my pain and all my joy,
Burned into this hollow place.
Ash and dust leave their stains;
Remnants of a time I died.

I fell onto pieces of a broken heart,
Cut myself to the bone.
I perfectly played my part;

Bleeding from my aching soul,
Silence like a river flows.

As time gracefully slows.
Temple walls left shattered and scorched,
Burning embers remain.
A fire of love that eventually torched,
Turned this temple of joy into pain.
A memory dies somewhere far away;
Taunted by it's own voice.
Taken back to the start every day,
But never by choice.
Burned into the floor remain joy and sorrow,
A shallow embrace.
Nothing left but the dreams of tomorrow;
Forever a burden upon this face...
