The way those covers were gripped so tight had been enough to crease skin as delicate as her own as the screen shone on her face. Voices of actors and actresses alike made themselves loud through the TV as Eliza watched, tired eyes full of anticipation. She'd been waiting for what seemed like hours for the marathon of "Happy Cat City" to come on. The darkness around the room made it almost unsettling, but right in the light of that television, everything had been enough to keep one cozy. More ads had begun playing; models, movies, etc; it was all over these days.
Eventually the desired program had come on, starting with the cheesy yet kind of adorable theme song playing loudly as all of the cats of "Happy Cat City" had done their intros. Eliza grinned, filled with excitement like that of a child when given a new toy as she sang along, "We are the cats! The fluffiest and soft! Nobody can beat cuteness like this!". The teen's parents had been out for the evening, leaving their child alone to keep too herself. Eliza never minded when they left her alone. It gave her a chance to be herself openly.
Two hours passed almost instantly, with Eliza eating junk food and constantly changing position on the green little sofa as she watched intently, enjoying every moment she could of what time had been given. It was a roller coaster of excitement until eventually she had fallen asleep, her white T-shirt covered in crumbs from snack cake and popcorn whilst her pajama pants had cola slightly spilled onto them, staining the pink cloth.
She awoke later that night, yawning and rubbing her tired eyes before staring at her shirt in disappointment. "Awe, man.. That was my good shirt. Oh well, guess I'll have too change." As she moved herself from her place of rest and made her way to the second floor, she felt the staircase wounding and wounding until she was in the corridor to the upstairs. Eliza eventually got to her room and lazily pushed the door open, allowing a sigh to part her lips as she folded her arms. There on her fuzzy grey rug sat a young boy with the head of a cat. He looked almost cartoon-ish too her. "Alex, get out. I need privacy once in a while you know?", Eliza said sternly. The now named stranger sighed and shook his head in disagreement, throwing a pillow in the girl's general direction and sent her falling on her back. As Eliza sat up, fists clenched, face red with anger and teeth clenched, she charged Alex and punched him in the gut. He coughed and gasped as the air was knocked out of his lungs then replaced. " MY GUTS! ", Eliza laughed then pointed to the door. "Out. Now.", As Alex walked out holding his stomach he stuck his cat like tongue out before saying "whatever you want, Television Girl."
