Ron and Hermione-After the war

Working late at the Ministry

"So,Hermione's birthday is tomorrow! What are you going to get her?"asked Harry as they were getting ready to go for their lunch break at the ministry."It's got to be special. It's her first birthday after we got married. Everything's got to be special"he sighed and stared into space with a loopy grin on his face."Hello?"said Harry annoyed."Why is it that whenever we talk about Hermione you..you just stare into space and..smile. Anybody would think your crazy"he said.

"I'm not crazy. It's just that she's so beautiful and I'm so...in love with her. And her birthday is
tomorrow and I just can't help it. I need to make this the most special birthday she's had"said Ron hardly looking at Harry."Mrs Weasley said she was going to have this birthday party for her. Hermione already knows, though. George and his big mouth. But it doesn't really matter,right?"asked Harry. Ron shook his head still with a stupid smile on his face."But remember we're going to be working late at the Ministry. Did you tell Hermione?"asked Harry. Ron looked shocked."W-what? T-today? I didn't tell her! Oh no! Oh no! No...she's going to be so worried"said Ron."It's going to be fine. You worry too much"said Harry.

Hermione just came back from work. She hummed a romantic song."Hermione! Your back!"said Ginny."Hi! Where's Ron? I didn't see him in the Ministry"said Hermione."He hasn't come back yet. Probably off on one of his missions with Harry"said Ginny."Oh! Then I'll just go upstairs! And freshen up! You know until he shows up"said Hermione and left to go upstairs.

Ron was very late to come home. Everyone had already eaten dinner without him. Hermione was really worried and Ginny comforted her. She told Ginny she was tired and went up to sleep when actually she was waiting for Ron to arrive. Hermione was reading her book on her bed when she suddenly burst into tears thinking that Ron never usually arrived late. She cried to herself slowly when she heard the sound of someone Apparating outside the door. Hermione was so happy. It was Ron. The door handle twisted and he stepped into the room looking like he hadn't slept for a week.

She ran at him and threw her arms around his neck and kissed him. When their lips parted he said,"Mione! I missed you so much!". Ron wrapped his hands around Hermione and whispered softly into her ear which always sent goosebumps to her."I'm sorry. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. I had to work late at the ministry. I'm so sorry. I made you worry. I made you cry"he whispered. She spun around and they just stared into each other's eyes."I love you"said Hermione."I love you too. More than anything,Hermione"said Ron scooping her up and laying her on the bed."Close your eyes,love. Get some sleep"he said softly. A pair of lips pressed against hers before she fell asleep.
