We had to go on a field trip. They want to try and make us feel better about ourselves. Mom says it might help me control myself better. This time, our field trip will be to Marine World. It kinda sounds cool. I mean I love animals and the sea, but not when everything is in cages and surrounded by humans and disturb them when they are trying to sleep or have fun. I am Percy Jackson in 4th grade. To start off with, I have a terrible life right now and I wish it could get better. I have ADHD and have been kicked out of two schools in the same year. I have trouble.

I was always the new kid and never really had a friend. You could say that someone who was pretending to be your friend could count, think again. One of the lead me the changing schools and getting kicked out of the school forcing me to move for the third time. I'm just happy that my mom is always there to encourage me, as any other mom would.

I'm happy this year because I've got a friend. Robert, who everyone likes to call Robbie who is my best friend since kindergarten. This friendship I have with him is my longest real friendship I have ever had.

The bus was crowded. People scrambling to try and get the back and middle to sit with their friends and pushing people out of the way. I was the one who got pushed a lot. Not because of people trying to get by, it's because of who I am to these people; a scrawny little boy who is the butt of everyone's jokes and the kid that has parents that might get divorced.

"Hurry up!" Robbie called. "We need to claim a three-seater for us!"

"Coming!" I yelled. I started to push people left and right to get to him. I ignored the people who made fun of me and said jokes behind me, as I was getting close to him. A boy put his foot out and tripped me from behind. I fell flat on the floor, disgusted from the sights I saw. People murmured in the background and snickered at me walking over me as if was a dead body. I could say I'm the one who gets bullied a lot like a TV show about that middle school with the popular people and the people who make fun of the other kids who they call 'peasants' or something silly like that. Robbie came to me as everyone found a seat and guided me to out seat. He managed to find a three-seater that no one snagged from him.

I looked around me as I saw people were giving me disgusted looks and whispering to each other. I knew it was about me because I am the little guy that makes all of the action. They rumor about how I got to this school and about the accidents that lead to this and where I am right now. There was a rumor I heard about me that I strangled someone with their necklace and threw a chair at the teacher in my other schools. Like I said, just rumors.

None of these were true of course, but it worried me about what might happen in the future. My parents are getting a divorce and my dad obviously hates me and treats my mother like garbage. We are both happy that he's leaving.

As we crept slowly closer to our destination teacher began to call out rules we must follow. The thing was that each time that they ended their sentence, they looked at me. I mean, of course they would. They know all of my mistakes and accidents that I've caused in the past. The real ones. It just creeps me out when they stare directly at you. I hope you don't get stared at like this. You wouldn't want to.

"So," I started.

"So..." Robbie joked, "anything new?"

"Nothing much. I just got a new scar on my face from people stepping on me if that's what you mean." I knew I sounded mean and everything. He understands it, though.

"Is it really that hard?" He questioned. "Brighten up."

He is always there for me to help me feel better. It's still hard to overcome the fact that my life will probably never become better than it already is.
