Vanessa's POV
My meaningless thoughts your soon interrupted by a punch in the stomach. After letting all the air that was previously in my lungs free, I opened my eyes. What I saw was...well nothing really, it was freaking dark!! Hands found their way to my stomach, fingers felt something cold and hard like metal, not a fist like a expected. It was cubed shaped and had strange imprints that I couldn't make out in the dark.
"What is this? Where am I?", my words slipped out of my mouth, barely audible. I had so many unanswered questions piling up in my head, that will most likely vanish into nothingness if I get a chance to ask them. A few glances around told me I must be either under something or in closed within something. Not even a sliver of light could be seen from sun, moon, or star. Fear was absent from my body and it confused me. I'm lost, alone, and confused. Shouldn't I be scared? Suddenly whatever I was on started to rock slightly. My heart sank when I reached down to feel water. I can't swim! What if I drown?! Okay now I'm scared, I just jinxed myself! Thanks Vanessa!
Fear over took my body as I saw strange figures in the dark. This was usual, for me at least. These things, no, these monsters stared at me with sharp fangs and crooked smiles as always. I was terrified. Was? Did I just say "was"? Is this a memory or is this happening now? Have I been using present tense or past tense while talking to myself? Or both? I'll just lie down. I went back into the same position as I was when I woke up. My mind has forgotten about everything, so I'll just sleep. By the time I finished those words my eyes were closed. I fell asleep within seconds, or did I?

A/N: I'm terribly sorry for my disappearance. I am also sorry for this lousy three paragraphs, I can do better than this!! I need to find some motivation and I'll try hard to update this story regularly. I might start another story that has been trapped in my mind for some time and is ready to break free. Ciao.~
