You're Scaring Me~Oliver Sykes (pt. 2)

Start from the beginning

I put on some silver flats and checked myself in the mirror one last time. I glanced at the clock and realised it had been almost an hour since Oli told me to get ready. Wait, how is he supposed to get ready if I've been hogging the room?

Just then, there was a knock at the door and Max jumped up from the bed, stretching and wagging his tail happily.
"Y/N? Can I come in?" He asked softly, cracking the door slightly.

I walked over to the door soundlessly and opened it, laughing as Max jumped up and placed his paws on Oli's chest. Oli jumped back but laughed and held onto Max. "I love you Max, but I belong to someone else," he joked, half smiling as he glanced at me. He turned to look completely at me and his eyes widened as he walked over. I bit my lip, waiting for him to say something. "I– I . . . wow," he sighed, smiling, "You look amazing."

My face seemed to get hotter as I looked down and said, "Thank you." He put his hand under my chin and lifted my head so I was making eye contact with him. "You're welcome, but please keep your head up and your smile on. You're beautiful."

My face got even warmer so I looked somewhere else. I noticed that he'd put on a plain white shirt, a blue flannel, black jeans, and converse. "You don't look so bad yourself," I commented, breaking the silence. He smirked, "Thanks. Are you ready?"

"Yeah," I muttered distractedly as I put Max in his crate across the room. "Sorry Maxy, we can't bring you with us," I said, rubbing the top of his head through the widely spaced bars. "We'll be home soon enough," Oli added, coming up and hugging me from behind. I smiled and gently pried his arms from my waist.

He pouted like a small child and I laughed, saying, "Oli, we have to go. You literally just said that." He smiled and handed me a light jacket just in case I'd need it later. I rolled my eyes and put it back across the chair with a smile.

Oli opened his mouth to protest but I said, "No, Oli, I don't think it's supposed to be that cold. I'll be fine." He sighed  and led me out the door before helping me into the car.  I glanced over at him and asked, "So, where are we going?" He smirked, looking away from the road before a split second, saying, "That's a surprise, my dear."

"A dance studio?" I asked, shocked that we were even here . . . and that it looked completely empty. He blushed, running a hand through his hair. "Well, yeah,  uh . . . my aunt owns it and I asked if I could book it for a couple hours. Just you and me, ya know?" A huge smile took over my face and I hugged him. "That's the most creative thing I've done on a date! Come on!" I started to walk ahead and he caught up, taking my hand and opening the door to the studio.

I thought we were gonna be dancing in the main room where the window was but instead, Oli led me to a back room. We stepped in and my jaw literally dropped. This room was huge! He flipped the light on and took my hand.

"Do you know how to dance?" He asked, leading me to the centre of the room. I shrugged, "I'm alright, I guess. I took dancing lessons when I was ten but I stopped when I turned fifteen."

He smiled and took a deep breath, saying, "Well I can re-teach you." He took my arms and put them around his neck before he put his arms around my waist. "I never said it would be a waltz or some shit, just the basics," he said, answering my silent question.

After a couple dances, we started goofing off. I had grabbed one of the props they use to help with dancing, or for dance shows I don't know anymore, and whacked him in the head with it.
