Chapter One: Planning the vacation

M A R C H 28  8:00pm at the park

Shinji's POV

"FINALLY VACATION! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!" Maika Yawned and stretched her arms. "Finally some time to rest..." She added.
It's finally vacation. This is what my friends are waiting for. But... Things would get pretty boring for me since I'll go back to my hometown... All alone... In our lonely house.

"So, where will everyone go this vacation? I'm not really going to do anything and just stay in our house. Psh. Boring" Candice said.

"Same. Hey... How about we go somewhere to spend the vacation?" Ace added.

Hm, that's a great Idea but I don't think they'd like to got to my hometown...

"Hey Aiko, I'm going back to our hometown would you like to go with me?"

"U-uhhh S-sure why not i-it... Uhhh..." She said shyly

"Aiko, Shy as always."

"Oh My! Are you guys going to your hometown?  ALL ALONE?!"

"Stop it Zach we'll just pay a visit to my old house... You know... Cleaning and stuff" I replied

"Can I go? Staying at our house is pretty boring." Candice said

"Sure why not. I'll go there probably at April 4 and I'll stay there for 6 days--" I got cut off

"Is everybody free on April 4-10?"
Ace asked

Everyone nodded.
Oh no-

"Then it's "Settled" we will spend our vacation at Shinji--"Agustina got cut off

"A-are you guys even sure?  The house is like.... Old." I replied

"It's okay Shinji! It's perfect for like...A haunted house roleplay!"Ace replied

"No." Jessica Added.

"Well.. If you guys insist then it's settled. We still have a week to get ready and do stuffs or rest"

"And that's it. I'm going home now. Bye boys~" As Meeshka walked away slowly she looked back at us and winked. Ew.

"Oh right, It's getting pretty late I'm going now."Maika said and walked away.

Everyone went home already.

"Aiko, Let's go."
"Oh.. Yeah.. "

Aiko and I walked home. It doesn't feel right though. I feel like someone is watching us. Probably one of them? Hmm... Probably my imagination.

"Aiko, do you want something to eat?"

"Hmm.. I-I don't know.. "

I sighed

"Do you want Donuts?  We can grab some before we go home"

"Um s-sure?"She said shyly

We went to a Donut shop before we went home.

This is Aiko. She's my childhood friend. She has no family right now since they died when their house caught on fire. I found her crying there. She lives with us after what happened. She's really shy like if she's hungry she'll just stand there and not ask for food. You need to ask her first but I doubt she'll answer specifically.

Aiko's POV

I'm really hungry but good thing that my stomach cooperates and didn't made any sound... My self-esteem is so low it hurts. Just talking to a child makes me nervous I don't know why...
I'm scared of being rejected and humiliated. So I don't really talk to anyone that much
Not talking = Not being rejected and Humiliated.
But... Sometimes I get pretty lonely. But Shinji's always here for me...
Which is... Um...
T-this Donut i-is great!!  Right!  Uhh... This walk is silent and getting pretty awkward... I-I should open a topic...

"T-this Donut is g-great.." I said quietly

"Glad to hear it from you" Shinji smiled

I looked down

M-my face is t-turning red wha-what should I do uhhh...

"It's rare that you'd talk to people first. So I'm glad that you tried to open a topic since this walk is getting pretty awkward"

"Y-yeah... " I said quietly

I took a deep breath (boi-)
Okay I'm okay now.. Our house is pretty far from that park..I live with him since I was a child because I lost my family. My Parents died in a fire. And I don't even know any realatives.

...

What's this... I just got chills down to the spine.

"Aiko? What's wrong?" Shinji asked

"N-nothing.. "

Yeah, what's wrong with me..I don't know.. Something just feels wrong.. I feel like we're being watched. A-a ghost?! N-no that's impossible..

I tried to look around. There was no one here besides us.

"So you feel it too huh?"

H-he knew?!

"I-is it obvious?"

"Hm, a bit. It's alright I feel it too. But it's probably just our imaginations.though it's a bit creepy though." He replied and looked away.

"We're almost there anyways" He added.

After few minutes of walking we finally reached home. Shinji immediately locked the gate and the door. After that we went to our rooms and sleep..

I can't sleep. I'm paranoid. What's wrong...
I tried to sleep but I just can't...

After a few hours of torture I finally slept.

3:15
I woke up. And I can't sleep again. I'm really paranoid. I looked at the left side of my bed where the door and the hallway is. Huh? Is that Shinji? Is he awake?
Hmm.. I'm thirsty. Shinji went where the refrigerator is so I'm probably safe.
I went to the kitchen.

No one's here.

I got chills again. I still continued to walk but I stopped. My body won't move. I tried to look back.  And I felt something sharp piercing through my stomach. Blood. Blood everywhere. I can't even talk or shout. It's too dark here to see...
And then. I caught something at the corner of my eye. Something moved. Sh-Shinji? I can't talk
I felt something crawling from my stomach.

Ohh noo... M-maggots.. I cried. Maggots are everywhere on my body... Someone help...
After this.. I Threw up more Maggots. More and More.. Until I closed my eyes and...

"Help!" I shouted as I sat and breath heavily... Oh
...
It was just a dream... Actually a Nightmare..

I'm thirsty..

I looked at the clock

"3:14"

I heard noices from the kitchen. Like moving the knives.

Chills. I don't know what to do... Something moved from the hallway. Nope I'm not even going down. Just. No. Even if I'm really thirsty I won't. What is the time though? I looked at the Clock

"3:15"

I hid under my blanket. Shaking and breathing heavily. I tried to make my breathing not so loud though. I heard more noices. I cried. I don't want to die yet. If that nightmare is going to be real... Or am I still dreaming? I took a deep breath.
"Please wake up, Please Wake up, Please wake up" I said silently and repeatedly
