" Selene! just wait for a moment.Mother will cook breakfast for us, alright? " mom shouted at the kitchen, letting me know so that I won't be worried.

I was sitting on a rocking chair. For about a minute. With my back leaned on the chair's rest, as well as my head. I was given by the name, Selene Daine. Mother gave that beautiful name for me. Good to hear, isn't it? I can feel the warm breeze of the air that brushes through my skin and hair. I heard birds chirping. They sounds like singing, too. Birds' voices are my signs that it is still morning; that there is still light in the sky. I even smell the cook of my mom. Its smell runs through my nostrils as I sniffed it, closing my eyes so that I could feel the essence of its good and tasty smell. I take a long huge breathes.

Those are my daily routines after I wake up in the morning. But I can do household chores also; a bit. My mother won't allow me to work so hard. But I felt pity for mom. I am such a big trouble for her. And I hate it! But instead, she just let me rest and sit everyday on the rocking chair. It's making me feel sick.

Memories in the past were like tattoos on my mind. It won't be vanished. I suffered drastic conditions when I was in two years old. My mom told this to me, everything. My father died when I'm two for the cause of car accident. Mother and I were in that happening, too. Mother was wounded in her left leg, while I was wounded in my eyes. Now, I just only have four senses. I can hear different sounds, I can feel and touch anythings, I can taste any kinds of foods, I can smell fragrances and even in bad. But only I can see.... is dark.

Yes, I admit. I am blind. Not born blind, but born to be blind. Everyday, I always ask mom on what my feature is. She said that I have a long straight black hair, I have a smooth face and a white complexion to my skin, I have a pretty eyes that I got from my father, and I have a heart-shaped lips with a sweet smile that I got from her.

Today, mom said that I was wearing a polka dotted dress. A simple dress that suits to me. She said that I am pretty. I just cackle to my mom. Letting her know that I am humble. My mom's name is Stacy Daine. Pretty isn't it? Just like her. I can say that she's pretty , it's because of her kindness and to her voice. I can feel, she looks like an angel. An angel that God sent here to earth from heaven, because God knows that I need my mom in my life so much. I sigh. This is really a fate ... and I am so lucky.

In my life, I never saw our village looks like. Of course! I am blind. As I turned into three, my sufferings of being blind started. Because after I got out from the hospital, the next day is my birthday. My friends pitied me on my situation. But that was thing I called lucky. Why? Because at least, I got into the age of three. Twenty two years of suffering, I never lose hope. And twenty two years of living in this world, I met a real best friend. A best friend that never leaves you in times of trouble.

A best friend that fully accepts you on who you are. Jessie Gutierrez, is her name. But everybody calls her, Jes. Sounds pretty, right? Yeah. She's really pretty, like mom. No one's been ugly. I met Jessie at the hospital. She's been suffering from a dengue fever. My bed was just next to her, that's why we met each other. she's been very kind and sweet to me. Like mom, too. Oh. I don't want to lose her. I don't want to lose them.

Jessie loves adventures, too. That's why because of her, I feel the beautiful and cold air in the fields of New York. Every weekends, we visit there. It's like it's a tradition for us of visiting to the field every weekends. How fun, right?

" Selene! " a blissful voice called me.

Me: I don't know if you like my story. But,please comment so that I will know what are my mistakes. I'm not pro. I'm still an amateur. Thank you and God bless! :D I'll try best as I can. :D
