Adley lay down on her bed. Staring out the window, wondering whether she would cry when she left Georgetown. Just a week before. On a Friday night, after prom; Floyd had told her that he had feelings for her.
At first she didn't know what to do at all and at the least what to say. Afterall he had texted her this, on snapchat. Probably not the best way to confess and they had been best friends for about a year now. Without thinking she typed, 'I love you too.' And collapsed into her bed. She screamed into her pillow and her cheeks went bright red. What would she do in school... they were in the same class, they sat next to each other at lunch. Would everything be different now? Adley drifted to sleep; her head filled with questions.
The next morning she checked her phone. 'Aghh.' There was no reply. Maybe he meant something else? OMG...what if he did, after all he did just text 'I lv u'! She decided to ask her best friend and filled her in with all the details over the phone. 'Dude... idk you know Floyd, he just wants a girlfriend I doubt he actually loves you.' 'Sighhh. K ur probs right. Cya I gtg eat some food.' Replied Adley and she got ready for the day.
Adley had no idea at all how she felt. Maybe she loved him as a friend.. not in that way. She regretted sending that text back. Adley checked her phone. Floyd had replied with a bunch of heart emojis. She smiled. 'I didn't think you could be like that Floyd.' 'Oh you'd be suprised ;).' Adley laughed. 'My oh my you're quite the flirt aswell!' Floyd and Adley continued texting for the rest of the day.
Monday morning was pretty normal for Adley. She woke up, late, rushed out of bed, spent 30 minutes trying to figure out what to do with her hair and ran out the door, probably forgetting something, with a piece of toast in her mouth.
The bus was full of sleep deprived teenagers who looked half asleep listening to their music and the rest were some kids who acted like they lived off crack and popping candy. She walked along the bus and sat next to Sam.
After a short ride to school Adley hopped of and walked up to her classroom with Kate,one of Adley's best friends. They were almost at the lockers when Adley spotted Floyd. Their eyes met and they both smiled, then blushed and looked away. 'Awww Adleyyy!!! You guys are goals!' Exclaimed Kate. 'Hahaha nahh anyway I've gotta meet up with Pauline at the library quickly, so bye.'
Adley hurried past the lockers and went into the library. She saw Pauline and smiled. 'You got together with him afterall didnt you?!' Adley blushed and Pauline sighed 'Oh well, but it's your last week here I don't think things are going to work out so well.' 'I know, I know but I just...' 'Are you sure though, even after what happend with Lexie?' 'Yea that's in the past. I'm over it.'
