3rd Person P.o.V
Breeze awoke to the sound of rain hitting the tin hotel roof. She groaned as she sat up, pain shooting up her back from sleeping on the uncomfortable bed.
She reached over to the cheap, scratched up, wood nightstand and grabbed her pack of cigarettes. She placed one in her mouth and lit it, already feeling more at ease. Breeze was known for chain-smoking. It was a nasty habit, but she had a few of those.
When some of the back pain decreased, she stood up from the raggedy bed and popped her back. Walking over to the window, and pulling the shade. The sky was rainy and grey, and the cracked country roads were full of small puddles here and there.
Breeze sighed, exhaling a thick line of smoke. She watched it, intrigued, as it slowly rose up above her. The littlest things in life were so beautiful to her, she always was interested in nature.
As she walked to the disgusting hotel bathroom, she used her fingers to comb through her brown-red hair, and snorted.
"Yeah, I look as shitty as this hotel" she muttered to herself.
The only reason she was even at the shitty hotel, was because two of her 4 roommates were screaming and arguing about the water bill, while high on cocaine. No, Breeze didn't have a problem with coke, but she didn't like the arguing, and it would not end.
So, in addition to that she grabbed her truck keys and drove to the nearest hotel, which was 40 miles away, and also happened to be the shittiest one. Her eyes flicked over to the tiny clock on the edge of the sink.
'10:36 am.'
Breeze had to be out of the hotel room by 11:00, so she quickly slipped her shoes on, and grabbed her purse and cigarettes. She made sure she had her keys, and everything else that belonged to her. As she was heading out of the door, the room's phone started ringing, and she groaned in annoyance.
"Hello?" She asked, picking up the phone.
She heard a sigh, "Bree, when are you coming home?" Asked her gay best friend, Luke.
"I'm on my way, bud. No worries" she replied, re-adjusting her purse strap.
"Okay, by the way we're having a BBQ tonight!!" He exclaimed excitedly.
She rolled her eyes, "It's pouring down rain!" She told him.
"Not here it's not honey, remember you're like 60 miles away" she heard Craig yell in the background.
She slammed her hand on her head, "shut the fuck up, Craig." She laughed.
Alex and Craig must have made up because She heard the both of them laugh. "Haha, assholes, I'm on my way" She chuckled.
They all said bye to her, and she rushed out of the door, not wanting to associate herself with that creepy hotel manager another time.
She hopped in her black Ford pickup and stuck the key in the ignition, the engine purred to life and she smiled. As she backed the truck up she turned on the Rock radio station, and flicked the volume loud as Foreigner's "Waiting for a Girl Like You" blared through her customized speakers, as she sped off down the country highway.
She looked in her review mirror, and grinned at her own Dazed Eyes.
