On Perseverance

Look not upon the failures

Or the dimness of the lights

'Tis the struggle that makes us

Not the trophies of our strifes

In the gleam of surrender

Upon angels we fly

For the moment we faulter

Is victory in disguise

Through trials of sorrow

Hold fast upon your way

For the flowers of tomorrow

Come from stormclouds today
