It was a clear starry night when Ashley was walking to the park. Ashley was dreaming about how life would be like after high school. She was so focused on the future that she didn't hear Jace calling after her. Finally, Jace was close enough to Ashley that she can actually hear him.
" Ash, Ashley? Earth to Ashley are you there!?"
" Oh sorry, Jace I didn't hear you."
"It's cool....So what were you thinking about?''
" Oh, nothing much."
Jace stares at Ashley and they continue walking until they reach the park. Where they sit down on the swing side by side with memory filled minds from when they were younger, playing with all their friends and everybody was happy. But that all changed in a single second when Ashley's life was changed forever.
" I can't stay here too long Ashley, I have to get some sleep I am not like you, I can't stay up all night and I can't stand Starbucks." .
" Jace not everybody can be like me and if you don't like Starbucks then you're an alien!"
" I am not a flipping alien, Ashley!!!"
Ashley laughs, " And I don't like Starbucks.''
"It's getting late I have to head home Ash see ya later!''
"Bye Jace!"
''BYE ASH!'' shouted Jace as he ran down the street.
Ashley watched him while he was walking away thinking to herself he is so handsome, but I don't think I will ever get a chance to become his girlfriend.
I pushed my luck just being a friend of his... I mean.. he is a famous basketball player in our school. And I was a groupie who showed up to all his games, where I eventually ended up getting his attention and he started talking to me... but that will all change as soon as we go to college... or even make it there.
The thunder starts to get louder...
Well we better get home before it starts to rain hopefully Jace will make it home it's a long walk to his house from here. I wonder why he walks here there's a park much closer to his house.
Finally, Ashley gets off the swing and walks home.
