I'm a... Magical boy?!

Chapter 1- A whole new level of high school drama!

Kurogawa high... A school like any other.... With it's plastered walls, high ceilings and dank corridors. The uniform was just as plain as any other schools too... A splash of white, red and black, modest skirts and zippers (see photo for reference). 

I dreamed that I was bleeding and running through those corridors when I came across a girl with hair like cotton candy. A pair of bunny ears peered from her hair and she said in a startled tone "Zero! You're wounded!" I smirked "it's just a scratch Usagi..." Huh... My voice sounded kinda weird... Oh well... it's just a dream... Usagi reached out and grabbed the wound "I guess you'll need... to be reincarnated huh? This could kill you Zero!" I leaned down and kissed her button nose, "don't worry.... I'm sure it'll be just fine... Just be sure to give this to me when the time comes..." I held out a pendant and handed it to Usagi, she nodded. I collapsed to the ground and my vision faded.

I awoke to see the white roof of my room, nothing unusual there. I rolled out of bed, yawning as I did so. I walked over to my mirror, noticing a silver chain around my neck. It poked out from beneath my long black hair, standing out against my pale skin and dark hair. At the end of the chain was a pendant with a gold stone in it, it was actually quite pretty. The one from the dream? Nah, that had to be a coincidence! I tried to pull it off... Nothing... SHIT! WHAT DO I DO?! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT! Calm down... Makoto.... There has to be a logical solution... Just... sort it out later! I tucked it under my shirt, hoping I wouldn't get caught. 

As I walked the school halls, I began to feel a dead weight on the back of my neck... Damn this thing was heavy... it was like a ten ton brick tied around my neck... I dawdled into the school courtyard noticing a demonic looking monster... What is with today?! The demon bellowed "where is he? Where is the one with the pendant?" I gulped, pendant?! But the demon said he so it couldn't have been what had appeared around my neck... Right? RIGHT?!  I ducked into an empty area with nobody around that would be able to see, grabbing my pendant. It was glowing brightly, so I clenched my fist around it to try and suppress the glow. Not good... Not good not good! The glow engulfed my entire body in a bright light, transforming me. A fiery sensation burned through my limbs and bones... FUCK THIS HURTS!

When I could see again, I saw that my entire outfit... No, my entire body... Had changed...

I was... A boy? No... way.... 

Short spiky brown hair, check. Gold eyes which were a clear contrast to my normal eye colour, check. A certain *cough* thing that wasn't meant to be there... check... What the effin hell was going on here? The outfit I was wearing consisted of a white shirt, gold coloured pants and a long tie with the stone that was on the pendant embedded into it. There was also some shoulder plate armour on my arms, like I was ready to battle (In this flashy ridiculous outfit? Really?) I was holding a longsword in my right hand,  it was pretty well balanced. I was armed for one of these things, whatever they were. I walked out into the blinding white of the schools quadrangle, trying to look as cool as I could (I almost tripped a total of 5 times). The students turned to look at me, the monster too. I said, "Are you the one looking for me?" Shiiiiit, my voice changed too, this was really disorientating! And not to mention it was the same as that stupid dream. The demon laughed "Yes, indeed... So, you are the one chosen to save this wretched planet?!" I nodded "that's right... So fight me if you dare!"

The demon grabbed a girl from the crowd to use as bait, I realised that it was Nanami within seconds of him picking her up! I shouted "NANAMI-SAN! Get your filthy hands off her!" The demon laughed "Your lover, perhaps? Well, young man... You better save her then!" I screamed at the top of my lungs "Don't you dare harm her!" I launched at the enemy, swinging my longsword at it and then driving the sword through the monster's chest causing it to burst into a flash of light. I caught Nanami as she fell, she said "thank you... What is your name?" I replied "Serinuma Makoto..." Crap... I replied with my real name... Will she realise it's me? Nanami smiled "I have a friend named that... But she's a girl... I hope to see you around, Serinuma-kun..." I nodded and walked off to go see if I could figure out how to transform back into a girl before returning to class... Tapping and tapping the pendant.

That afternoon, I crashed into Nanami. I said "ah...Nanami, what's up?" Nanami replied "well... I have... Something cool to tell you..."I asked "what is it?" Nanami answered "I finally have fallen in love!" I gulped, she couldn't mean. Nanami continued "with the boy who saved me from that demon!" I sighed, of course she was in love with my other self... Nanami asked "what's wrong, Makoto-chan?" I replied "N-nothing..." I decided then and there that I would tell her when I knew more about it myself. Nanami said "You know him, don't you?!" I nodded "yeah, you could say that he and I are very close..." Nanami smiled "lucky you!" 

Aw, crap this is gonna be a long day isn't it?
