Sharna's shrieks and tears fill the room. It was the most broken he had seen her, this laughing bubbly person, crushed into a thousand pieces within a matter of seconds. Val engulfed her in a hug and he started to cry. How can something this horrible happens to the sweetest of people? Their lives just entered a black hole, sitting there in the depressing hospital room. It felt like the walls were caving in on them making the couple feels inches tall, making them feel like it's their fault it happened.
The doctor walked in. 'Sharna, I'm so sorry but you've had a miscarriage'. and with that, he left. Sharna was 5 months pregnant, she was expecting a baby girl. This is her second one since she and Val had been together. It's been hard for them not being able to have their own little dancer. Peta and Maks could see how much it is hurting them. Peta tries to help her through every hard time Sharna has come to.
Sharna just sits there sobbing her heart out in Val's chest. He holds her tight and doesn't let go. 'Baby, we will get through this, everything is making us stronger, I love you Shar', Val mumbles into her hair. She just cries harder. Val got up and went to see why this happened to them again. Sharna grabbed her phone and called Peta. Peta answered within a second and Sharna just cried to her. This time it has truly ruined her. 'Sharna I'm on my way the hospital' and Peta hung up.
Moments later, Peta ran in through the door and latched herself to Sharna. 'It will be ok Sharna'
'Will it though Peta? The second time now, I can't do this anymore' Sharna cried
'Yes you can Sharna, Val, Maks and I are here for you, like the last time' Peta said reassuringly
'Peta I don't understand why though'
Then the doctor walked back in with Val. Val's eyes were red and sore from all the crying. 'Sharna you seem to have a disorder which is preventing you from carrying a baby till its full term. Sadly we can't do anything about this, I am so sorry for your loss Sharna and Val.'
Sharna sat there in shock. So did Peta. Nobody said a word. They just sat there in the hospital room, the silence surrounding them. Peta got up and left to sit out in the hallway, crying her eyes out. Val looked at Sharna, walking over and kissing her forehead. 'Baby we will get through this, I promised you when we became official that I will always love you no matter what obstacles come our way. And that hasn't changed Sharna, I love you.'
'I love you too Val, can we go home now? I just want to cuddle you somewhere more comfortable'. Sharna sighed
'Of course, baby, let's get you signed off and get Peta back in one piece'
'Oh my gosh Peta is she still here' Sharna climbs off the bed and runs out to the corridor to find Peta slumped on the floor, staring at the wall. Val went to get Sharna signed off and she helped Peta get to her feet to take her back to my car.
Val drove Peta's car back whilst Sharna took Peta in their car. The whole way Peta held Sharna's hand and sobbed. The whole way Sharna kept telling Peta that she'll be ok and that she will get through this and the Sharna needs Peta by her side the whole entire way. Sharna dropped Peta and off they hugged, which to them felt like all eternity but was only a few seconds. They both exchanged their goodbyes and Sharna got back in the car to meet Val's eyes filled with sorrow and love for Sharna. Val knew Sharna was strong and that she was going to get through it with the amazing support from her friends and from Val himself.
They drove home in complete silence, holding each other's hand. Val was Sharna's safety and he was just in awe of her. They arrived home and climbed into bed. They just help each other till they drifted off into a peaceful slumber.
Who knows what will happen when Plan B occurs...
