Every time her phone lit up, her heart picked up. It was just pure excitement with every text she got from him. Gabbie almost couldn't remember how long they've been talking, but all she knew is that it made her happy.

John: have you ever thought about coming to see me? it's been almost two years since we've started talking.

Gabbie was genuinely shocked at the fact that this went on as long as it did. He was so sweet.

Gab: I mean would you ever want me too?

John: of course, Gab. I wouldn't want to meet anyone in the world but you :) besides seattle isn't that fun, and being alone makes it worse.

Would he actually be willing to try this?

Gabbie had high hopes, she really did.

Gab: I could come visit then. I'd love to finally see you in person.

John: why just visit? I've got enough room, you could stay as long as you'd like.

That got a reaction out of the brunette, and she wasn't quite sure on what to say. Leaving him on read, she got up and wandered over to the kitchen, grabbing a glass and looking down at her phone.

It's not like she's never dated a guy...

It's just never been this long of talking to one.

John: Gabbie?

Gab: Yeah?

John: What do you say you come move in with me?

It didn't seem logical.

She knew it didn't seem logical, but she went with her heart.

This man told her he loved her before. Hell, they found each other on a dating app, the only problem being that they were miles and miles apart.

Gab: Yeah. I'll do it, I've never really unpacked from moving here anyways. It'll be easy.

Setting her phone down, Gabbie looked round.

Boxes still in the kitchen. Only two or three, nothing important in them. That thought made her wander into the living room, where a few other boxes were still stacked and unopened. One labeled pillows, and the other blankets.

Gabbie sighed slightly and looked over to the counter where her phone had buzzed again. She made her way into the rather empty bedroom, and looked at the boxes in there.

Clothes.

Clothes. And more clothes. That one read bedsheets, and fuck she even spelt shower wrong on the box packed with 'shoer' curtains and towels.

"I really don't have many friends here...Shane...he wouldn't mind though, I mean he's been happy with me being happy so-..."

Gabbie smiled a bit, and went back out to the couch, that had thankfully come with the semi-furnished apartment. After grabbing her phone, and now her laptop she took a seat.

"Just gotta pull up the ticket site..-"

Gab: I bought a ticket for next Sunday, John. That enough time?

John: Of course, I can't wait. Hopefully time will go fast.

Gab: Me too, John, me too.

Just like the two wanted, time went smoothly and quickly, and a week later; Gabbie was returning her keys to the landlord. It was rather nerve wracking, thinking about all the bad things...the good things that could happen. Thinking about it all.
