Julianna's P.O.V

“Julianna?” My manger -who was the closest thing to a parent I had- (Audrey) Connie asked as she walked towards my table at McDonalds. “ Break time is over. Are you ready for the benefit? We still have eight hours for the ride left. The rest of the band is already in the bus.”

“Yeah, let me finish these fries.” I replied, stuffing fries in my mouth. “Okay, I'm ready.” I said with my mouth full, I got up and wiped my salt-covered hands on my pants. Not very lady-like but who said famous people had to have manners? People wouldn't care if you showered in weeks, they'll still think you're a walking-god just because you're famous.

“You have grease on your shirt.” Connie stated, eyebrow raised, and her British accent was very thick today.

I shrugged. “I'll just throw it out and change.”

“That's a waste of clothes, you just bought that shirt! Do you know how hard the materials from the clothes is on the land fields?”

I rolled my eyes. There she goes again, vegetarian Connie and her tree-hugging personality. I could practically state every word of her lectiors on “how this or that is bad for the land fields” and how “I should really care more about the world around me.”

“Sorry,” I said once she was done with her speech. We walked towards the tour bus.

“Be right back, I need to make a quick trip,” Connie said and then left.

 I walked into the bus.

“Hey, Julianna! We were getting worried about you!” Said Abby, the blonde bassist/vocals. Her shoulder length blonde hair was out of her face, in a small ponytail.

“Yeah,” snickered Brooke. “We were afraid that the burger ate you or something. That would definitely mess up the food chain.” Brooke was always cracking jokes, funny or not, sometimes they’re offensive without her meaning to.

“Or found your Romeo and ran off with him,” Greg chuckled; it surprised me that he made a joke. You see he’s very serious and quiet, so it’s rare when he makes a joke, much less smile.

We all gapped at him, Abby’s jaw almost hit the floor.

“What? I can be funny if I want to be,” he replied as he saw our reaction.

We all laughed. It seemed so impossible that Greg would make a joke.

Once we settled down, Connie came on the bus carrying garment bags. “Are you guys ready for tonight? It’s going to be a big event, so all of you need to be on your best behavior.’

Brooke snickered. “We’re always on our best behavior.”

Abby and I chuckled. Connie looked at us and we instantly grew silent.

“You need to be on better behavior than that. If any of you mess up tonight at this fundraiser, I will not hesitate to replace you,” she said, no humor in her voice.

The band looked at each other with the same look on our faces. Can she even do that? Oh yes she can.

“We’ll be on our bestest best behavior,” I spoke up.

“Good. We’ll be leaving as soon as the driver gets back from the loo.” She handed each of us a garment bag. “These are the clothes you will be wearing tonight.”

Brooke unzipped her bag first and pulled out her dress. “This is a fancy fundraiser? Seriously? I am not wearing a dress!” she squealed in disgust as she looked at the long black and white dress. It was strapless, from the waist down was white and flowly, it was brought in the waist and from that point up was black and had rhinestones on it. It was utterly beautiful.

“I explained that several times,” Connie grew impatient. “Yes, Brooke. It is a very fancy fundraiser. Famous people will be there and other very important people will be there. It’s a black and white masquerade dinner. But you will be wearing your usual attire when you’re performing later on after the dinner.”

“Ohh! Will the Jonas Brothers be there?!” Abby asked excitedly.

“Maybe, I don’t know.” Connie lied; she didn’t have the heart to tell Abby her favorite band broke up a while ago.

” Ekk! This is going to be so cool!” Abby unzipped her garment bad and pulled out a black dress. It had a torques rhinestone on the side of the waist attached to a thin white piece of material that was to tie around the waist. The sleeves were off the shoulder and capped, the bottom half was ruffled; slowly poofing the dress out and at the very bottom was cut higher in the front compared to the back. Abby gapped at it, squealed with delight and hugged it. “It’s beautiful! Thank you, Connie!”

“Don’t thank me, all I did was call your designer to whip something up.”

“Still. Thank you,” Abby said with gratitude. Then she looked at me. “Open yours!”

Everyone looked at me and encouraged me on to open the bag so they could see the dress.

I did as I was told and opened the bag; I peered inside and pulled out the dress.

I practically dropped it from shock. It was black lace with white material underneath it. It was about calf length and had one thick strap that started on the right side and all the way to the left side. It was breath taking. Everyone on the bus was awed by it, well except Greg and Connie of course- so pretty much only Brooke and Abby-

Connie smiled. “ I handpicked that one out for you. I thought you’d like it.”

 “ I love it!” I replied enthusiastically.

“Good. I’ll leave you guys alone,” she walked out to the front of the bus.
