<Calliope's p.o.v>

My name is Calliope Doe. I am the daughter of Jacob and Marie Doe. We live in the most richest part of the city. The streets are always bustling with life.  The markets always smelled of fresh bread. The sliver smiths always had good wepeons to sell.

I love to fight. I act more of a guy than a girl. But thats okay, my family excepts me for who I am. Not really mom of course though. She prefers me to act like a lady. I don't really like acting like a girl. I mean I'll wear dresses but as long as they are comfy and easy to move in. She just insists on me being more lady like.

---------------------------------------------------------

The sky was blue and the grass was green. I closed my eyes and let my thoughts float about in my mind. I lay on the soft dark lushious grass. Today is my birthday. And I couldn't and won't say I've havent gone though some rough times. I've lived here for as long as I could remember.  I'm nienteen now. I got up from the ground and walked back into the house.

"CALLIOPE!! WHERE ARE YOU?!" Mom yelled as soon as I entered the house. "I'm coming mom. Chill." I replied back in a calm voice. "Come into the living room, I have special surprise for you!" Oh good grief. This isn't good. I thought to my self as I walked into the living room to see my mother sitting at the coffee table and patting the seat next to her, ushering me to sit next to her. Her bright blond hair nearly blinding me. Her eyes were a light sky blue, and her skin was a lightly tanned peach.

I sat down from across her instead, because it never ends well when come to situations like this. "Yes mom? What do you want?" Mom sat up straight and smiled kindly at me, showing her sparking teeth to my very eyes. "Well, I have some very big news for you that I think you'll be very pleased with darling." This made me look at her in surprise. Hoping that she's finally accepted me for I am. "Yes? What is it?" I asked refaining myself from smiling to much. "Well, a few weeks ago, I came across this GREAT guy. And he is such a perfect match for you." Oh. . .oh no. . . no no no no no.

"Darling what's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost." My heart pounded against my chest as if I were competing in a race. "Hmm? Oh nothing, carry on." Keep your cool Calliope. Keep. Your. Cool. Do not freak. "Alright if you insist. Anyway I told him everything about you. And he wanted to meet you. So he's coming tomorrow." My eye started to twich. "That's great mom!" Making the sarcasm in my voice obvious not that she would notice or anything. "Wonderful! I can't wait for you to meet him. He is such a gentlemen." She said as she quickly walked out of the room, leaving me alone to my thoughts. My brithday had just been ruined.

---------------------------------------------------------

I sat on the balcony of my room. Staring at the dark sky and the bright full moon. I never wanted to be married. Not for a second in my entire life, unless I found the perfect guy for me. And I told my mother that thousands of times. She just doesn't listen. But to make every thing about this worse, she probably hasn't even told Dad about any of this yet. And he's on a business trip. Dad respects every single one of my desions. He would not be pleased to find out that Mom did this. I am very much sure about that. Good thing he's back in the morning.

I pulled the hair tie out of my hair and let it fall. The silvery white hair fell and lightly flew in the soft breeze. I lay on the wooden boards of the balcony and thought of what tomorrow would bring.

Next thing I know I'm waking up I'm my bed to see the bright yellow sun streaming through the windows.  I sat up and look around the room. The floor was a fluffy carpet of a nature like green. The walls had paintings of the full grown trees in the woods. I looked at time on my bed table. 8:13 am. I got up and went to my dressing table and looked in the mirror. My blue eyes seemed to luminate my whole face. Like black ink on white paper. I shut my eyes and breathed in deeply. "MARIE YOU DID WHAT???!!!" Anndd my morning's ruined.

I sat back on my bed as I heard the running foot steps coming to my room. The door slammed open and a man stood there breathing heavily. He had naturaly silvery hair and mustache. His eyes were like an ocean during a storm. His teeth were perfectly straight. And his skin was and dark and warm compared to my pale peach skin and how much time I  spend in the sun. I smiled and ran up into him hugging him tightly. "Welcome home Dad." I could feel him hug me back as I buried my face into his chest. "Thank you." He said, making me smile more. "Is what your mother says true?" He asked. My smile faded. "That she met a guy that would be the perfect match for me? Yeah."

We released our hug and stared at each other intensely. "I can't believe she would this." Dad said brushing his hair back with his fingers as he look out of my balcony. "Right? She just sprung this on me yesterday." "Did she tell you what his name was?" I thought about it. "Now that think about it no." Next thing we know  we could hear light foot steps coming this way.

Moms head appeared the door way, then she made her way in. Dad stood next to me and he put his hand on my shoulder opposite of him. "There you are." She said in such a placid voice. Both of us smiled mercifully at her. Pretending to be happy. She turned to me and looked shocked. "Darling! Why aren't you ready yet? Aren't you excited to meet Eric?" So that's what his name is. "Why of course I am mother." I retorted, mocking the way she sounded. "Well?! Hurry up and get ready! He'll be here soon. And Jacob you need to get cleaned up for our special guest." She said, barking orders.

After they had left my room I hopped into the shower and scrubbed every inch of my body. After that was done I got out and dried off and put on a lavender dress. Bushed my waist long hair till it was very soft then tied it up into a pony tail. I breathed in and walked out of my room and went down stairs.

I entered the living room and sat on the sofa that was next to the coffee table along with the couch. I grabbed the novel off the table and read the first chapter out of boredom. "My my don't you look sexy." I jumped up, dropping the book and turning around to see a heavily built man of about maybe in his late thirtys. His hair was a light greasy brown, matted onto his head. His shrit was hugging his muscles tightly making me sudder at the ugly disgusting thought of going near that.

I stood up straight and cleared my throat. Forcing my self to talk in a sweet voice. "Sorry sir, I didn't mean to jump like that. You just startled me." I said trying to ignore the fact the he just called me 'sexy'. "Oh sweetie, I startle all of ladies." Then he walked over to me and leaned in to whisper into my ears. "Even the old ones~" I shuddered again. Ugh. Pervert. 'Great gentlemen' as if mom! I backed away quickly and smiled at him. "That's nice." I said while I refrained myself from killing him.

"Any way my little cherry blossom, what's your name?"  AND the flirting intensifies! Someone! Throw me a sword! "Calliope, Calliope Doe." I responded.
