A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes

He never talked much. He stuck with his friends, who rarely talked to him. He didn't know many people in band. He didn't think anyone ever wanted to talk to him. His brown eyes seemed to glisten in the light. His brown hair and the way it shaped his face made her interested. She is very outgoing. She appears to be friends with everyone in the band. The first time she saw him, she knew they would have something. She became close with the people that knew him the most. She eventually (and desperately) asked one of his close friends for his number. She decided she would play dumb and text him.

"Hi Cannon. This is May (the tuba player). My friend took my phone and put random numbers in it and I figured I would text you anyway. "

May and Cannon had no idea how close they would become in those next few years.

They sat at the edge of the pond, unsure of where their future was going to take them. They watched the fireworks in the distance, but did not speak a word. The presence of one another was stronger than any words they could ever speak. May sat there daydreaming of what her future could look like. She was leaving for college in three months. Cannon was starting his senior year of high school. They knew they were going to continue dating, but they were unsure how the distance would come into play. They took breath and went for it.
