As the waves brush against the shore line, and the glowing atomic trees whistle as the wind blows through there metal trunks, Kiva walks down the ash covered pavement awaiting the arrival of the k-3000 on the skyway system, the fastest and only skyway system in all of the nine coded cities, also known as the nine tributaries. Just as kiva looks up at the sky at the dome that covers the tributaries with the time of day right in the middle so everyone could see, a rumbling on the pavement shakes the ground. The fast k-3000 flashes into the skyway quickly stopping to let people on and off. Kiva gets on and sits next to Pierre, her best friend, who has saved her a seat like he does every day. " Kiva," shouts Pierre " I saved you a seat!" Kiva rushes over and sits down before anyone else could. " Thanks Pierre" Kiva says as she types in her exiting location. " Have you heard the news, Apollo Occisor is running for Princeps." proclaims Pierre." he is, exasperates Kiva " is he even allowed to?" "Why wouldn't he be?" questions Pierre. " I don't know , I guess i don't like him very much." says Kiva with a sigh. " Kiva watch what say he's running for the Malum party, and you know that someone out there is always listening to you don't want to get your self or worse your family hurt. " says Pierre quietly. The K-3000 arrives at Kivas location. She gets off and walks to her home in the 5th Tributary. The door Opens as Kiva gets closer. " Mom, Dad, I'm home." Yells Kiva. " Your back so soon, how was your day?" Says Mom as she walks into the room to kiss Kiva on the cheek." It was good, did you hear that Apollo Occisor is running for princeps?" Questions Kiva. " No, that can't be true." says Kivas dad as he walks in to greet her. " I swear its the complete truth!" Says Kiva. " Don't swear on things, Kiva." says Mom in a stern voice. " Well I'm going up there tomorrow, I might cast my vote while I'm there, and it sure won't be for him. Says Dad. " He's not a good man he's always seems to put people on edge, I would never vote from him. Three hours past and Dad is still complaining about Apollo. The next morning he heads up to the skyway system ready for the K-3000 to pick him up and take him to the tributaries capital so he can vote.
