I walked into the café building that I spent most morning at. I loved my coffee; it was my favorite thing to drink so I made it a thing to make it to this building every morning so I could get something to get me started for the day. I walked up to the counter and smiled at the cashier guy. He asked if I wanted the usual and of course I said yes. The usual was a black coffee with a few droplets of hazel nut flavoring. It was good.
It took him about two minutes to make then drink before handing it to me and I paid. I thanked him and then walked out of the building. On my way out a guy was on his way in and he held the door open for me. I've seen many guys in my lifetime and I have never seen someone so handsome before. I felt my heart fall to my stomach seeing him, but I thanked him. My voice was shaky due to nervousness. I wasn't good at being vocal around handsome gentlemen.
I then hurried to my car and made my way to school. I was currently a college student going for a master's degree in teaching. I wanted to teach an English class to high school students and I have always wanted to do this since my sophomore year of high school. My dad thought that I would eventually change my mind so they never asked how I was planning on doing this. He thought that teaching would be such a tedious thing and that I should become a lawyer. He hoped I would change my mind, but when I graduated high school and my mind was still set on an English degree they eventually gave up. I guess I was a disappointment?
I turned into the parking lot and quickly found a parking spot. I got out of my vehicle, locking the car as I continued to walk to my first class. I always made it a thing that I'm at least thirty minutes early because if I forget to do something, or I'm stuck in traffic I'll be able to deal with it. I walked up the flight of stairs that were in the corridor and turned left before entering my first class. I took my seat in the front of the room, sipping on my coffee. I pulled out my notebook and a pencil, writing down today's date. I then pulled out my book and read.
This was my life, every weekday. It was normal and relaxing. I wasn't the kind of person who liked change so I would rather stick to this schedule for the rest of my life. Having a routine was actually more comforting than most would think. Having a schedule doesn't make you freak out and removes bits and pieces of stress in your life.
Thirty minutes went by and people began to enter the room. I set my book down and waited for our professor to walk in. She walked in, breathless. I assume she was running late today... just like every other day. She sent us all a smile and began to write on the white board. I carefully took notes and I made sure my phone was recording so I wouldn't miss anything she says. I wanted to make sure that I knew what was going on so I could pass because the last thing I want to do is pay four hundred dollars for a class and fail it.

Eventually all my classes ended and I made my way home. I lived in an apartment with my best friend, Rainy. She was a college dropout and that was because she could never focus in class, she was more focused on everything else around her than classes. In the end, she dropped out and had to give her parents a long explanation as to why it was for the best. Now, she works with me currently at the towns market. It was small and not overbearing, which is why we decided this was best for both of us.
I unlocked the door to my apartment, and walked in. I set my back down and began to work on a piece of homework. I preferred to do one item of homework before work because it seems easier to do that then wait till I get home around nine and work until one in the morning. This part was easy because all it was was a quiz, which were pretty simple.
Rainy walked out of her room. Her bed head was prominent and I knew she just woke up. I sent her a quick glare before returning back to my work. I let out a breathy sigh, "Rainy, you should have been up a long time ago," I scolded, making her roll my eyes at me. I knew she didn't like being scolded, but when you're twenty-two sleeping until two in the afternoon there is something wrong with that.
