The familiar sound of the oceans roar awoke me from my gentle slumber. Leviathan, as usual, was on patrol snaking across the battling waves in his dragon form searching for prey to clash upon. His grumbling groans escalate from the depth of the seas to my room like a serpent slithering across masses of land tearing away anything in its path; devouring everything in sight.
As I sit up in bed the feeling of the slight breeze from the open window tangles into my hair, I glance over to my alarm sat on top of my desktop, the face of the device reads in piercing red 6:37am just 23 more minutes until the alarm shall proceed to buzz. There really is no point in setting an alarm leviathan acts as my cockerel in the mornings, waking me up at dawn even on rest days, alas his noise is nothing compared to what I used to cope with back when I lived in the city which was surrounded by the destructive beasts known as demons and Cambions. The streets crawls with them; dawn till dusk morning till night there was never a rest from the clutches of evil, living out by the sea is the furthest I could get from the veil creatures. It's been over a year since I saw another human all that's left are these new beings...leaving me with no one, fending for myself against these criminals. Safety no longer exists, everyday burning eyes descend upon me as if their owners are ready to tear me apart.
