Wrong End of the Drumstick

Rachel's POV

Damn he's cute. I think I'm finally starting to understand how Leia feels about Luke. Without the creepy obsessiveness though. James is just so perfect. Technically he doesn't go here, but from the first day he came with the band I knew there was something special about him.

"Ooh whatcha staring at?" Leia interrupts my deep thoughts. " More like who?" Annabelle says.

"Nobodyyyyy"

"You're blushing!" she squeals."I've got it, its James!" Maggie yells. I nod in embarrassment.

" Now all we need is Maggie and Annabelle to get with Theo and John!"

Leia's getting wayy too excited about this. She'll never let me live this down.But maybe that won't be such a bad thing. All she ever talks about is her massive crush on Luke and to be honest it gets quite boring sometimes. Finally it's my turn.

"Hey look they're coming over, act cool"

"hey guys" Theo announces walking over to us. "We were just about to go get some drinks, do y'all want some?" Everyone nods in agreement when Leia turns to look at me. I should be scared.

"James, Rachel, will you guys get them?" She winks at me. Wow subtle much. I try talking to him as we're going down to the junction but he's too distracted by his phone. That's okay, maybe I should try harder. I know I'll write him a song, I mean it worked for Michelle.

Leia's POV

Maggie, Annabelle and I are listening whilst Rachel plays us the song shes written for James, but to be honest I don't think any of us are actually paying any attention. Not that she's noticing. Clara interrupts my thoughts, surprising me.

"Hey guys, whatcha doing?"

Annabelle giggles. "Rachel wrote a song for James cuz shes in lurvee"

"James?"

"Yeah, yanno the drummer" I retort.

" Oh I know who he is, but does Rachel know he has a girlfriend"

"Definitely not" Oh no.

"Yeah she's my sisters best-friend, they're real tight"

We can't tell her that. It'll crush her. Plus most couples don't take long to break up anyways. We should just leave her be.

James' POV

"Yo man whats up with you and Rachel?" I snap my head round to look at Luke.

" What are you on about man? There's nothing up"

" Doesn't seem like that, she definitely likes you"

" Shut up man, even if she does, you know I love my Rile"'  I remark getting rather annoyed.

"I know, I was just letting you know dude" Instead of answering I just turn back to my drums ignoring his comments.

Honestly today Luke's attitude is really bugging me. Not just the Rachel thing but all day. Maybe I'm just agitated. theres only one thing that will be able to calm me down. So I get out my phone and dial her number. Just my luck, voicemail. I decide to send a quick text instead.

'Call me when you can, really tense could use someone to calm me down, Ly'

Rachel's POV

I'm so nervous. I'm gonna try and find James  and play my song. It's cryptic and the message is quite hidden but James looks like a smart, clever person. I see Leia stroll past and seeing as she basically stalks Luke I figured that maybe she'd know where the band is.

" Le, do you know where the band is?"

"Recording studio"

"Thanks you're the best" I quickly hug her before dashing out. 

When I arrive I see no band but somebody's phone is seriously blowing up. Wait isn't that James'? Well if we're going to be together soon, then we'll be sharing everything. So for that reason it is completely acceptable for me to go onto his phone right now.

He doesn't have a password, score! But maybe he ain't as smart as i thought. Eh, that doesn't matter to me right now. I'm too excited that I'm actually on his phone. Now lets see who's messaging him. Better not be competition. I click on the messages and I'm taken to a contact called "Riles". I've no idea who this chick is but  do not like her. Seeing the messages my eyes practically burst out of their sockets.

"Sorry I can't call but I'm downstairs if you need me. Ps hopefully these will take your mind off things XX"

She's then attached some pictures that I can safely say have scarred me for life. I storm out in a huff still with James's phone in my hand. I am going to hunt this chick down and kill her. Doesn't she know that's sexual assault. You cant just send random dudes stuff like that that. Especially guys who are supposed to be my almost boyfriend.

"LEIA!" I scream needing to ask her a life threatening question.

"Oh my goodness, whats wrong are you ok?!" she flusters after rushing in.

"Who's downstairs?!"

"A dance studio" she replies utterly confused. "Why?" 

"That's where i'm going!" I yell storming out marching downstairs. I'm pretty sure i'm being followed by Leia but I don't care I'm boutta settle this.

"WHO'S RILEY?"

"Um can I help you?"

When I see her face I fill with anger and pounce at her. Literally.

James' pov

All of a sudden screaming and shrieks come from downstairs and piper runs in. What?

"Some girl from here is attacking Riley!" She pants out. As soon as Riles' name is mentioned I'm lightning speed leaving followed by basically all of lost and found.

Piper wasn't kidding, Rachel is properly going at it. What pisses me off even more is that everyone is crowded around watching in shock but not actually doing anything. Luke pulls Rachel off Riley as I go to comfort my girl. When Rachel finally calms I speak up still holding Riley whiles she whimpers. aAtroupe and lost and found are holding onto my every word. Seriously they get on my nerves

"What was that all about?!"

"That whore was "sexting" you even though I was going to ask you out and know she's going to do it!" she screams while holding up the the pictures of Riley on my phone. Quickly I grab it back.

"First of all what the hell were you doing with my phone let alone going through my private messages, and secondly attacking Riley who happens to be my girlfriend of four years"

"She's your girlfriend?"

"Yes and even if she wasn't I wouldn't want to go out with a psycho like you"
