She thought she was strong. She thought it was easy to shut out everyone and everything. She thought no one can break the wall she's built up inside..
She then meets a boy, and her world changes. This boy wasn't like others. He was stubborn, sweet, lively, caring and so much more. They would talk every now and then. Until one day, the talking didn't stop. They became fascinated with eachother. Their lives, family, and stories. It wasn't until 3 years of being friends they decided to take their friendship a step higher.. a relationship.
They enjoyed eachothers company. Their humor. Late night talks on the phone. They would trust eachother so much, so much more than they would trust themselves. They believed they would never lose eachother. They each had their problems but the girl, it was easy to love him. To love herself was another story... She constantly had to fight her thoughts of being better off away from this world. Luckily, she had him to help her through them.
Another night, talking on the phone. Telling eachother stories. "Sing me a lullaby" She says. The boy then begins to sing Somewhere over the rainbow, one of her favorites. She then starts singing along. As she sings, tears run down her face for what she's going to do. "Birds fly over the rainbow, why then oh why can't I?" The phone loses connection.
The boy calls and calls, expecting a answer. After many attempts, someone picks up. "I'm sorry, but your loved one is gone." The person says. The boy doesn't understand. He doesn't want to understand. He goes insane trying to find his beloved girlfriend. Finally, he says to himself.. "she's gone."
Several days later, he received a letter with his name on it.. He opens it to find that she had wrote it. His late girlfriend. "Love, don't be sad for my passing. I'm sorry that I couldn't say goodbye on the phone. I couldn't bare to see you go through the struggle of having to stop me, but just know that I am free. I am with the birds above the clouds. You shall be with me one day, for now live life just the same as if I were there, because I am there with you, forever. This not my goodbye, because we will meet again. You are the best thing that's ever happened to me. --- I love you" Tears ran down his face. He screamed and cried. He didn't know what to do. He fell onto his knees. Forever, he will wait to be above the clouds with her.
