Nico POV
I held my sister's hand as we happily walked down the streets of Brooklyn, our mother next to us. Mom had told us that there were many strange men in the USA, so I didn't blink an eye when I saw the four men in black walk inside the Empire State Building, hold a large parcel. Mom had stopped us to admire the tall, beauty of the Empire State building, when there was a large BOOM as the center of the building exploded. Before anyone had time to react, the top started to fall, causing loads of debris to come down with it. I saw a piece of wall falling towards my unknowing sister, and ran over yelling "MOVE! MOVE BIANCA, MOVE!".But I was too late. The concrete fell upon her, smashing her, leaving me dumbfounded in front of a large piece of concrete. My eyes turned into saltwater rivers, running down my face, gushing out my emotions. I felt a pang in my heart; this was all my fault. If only I had not begged to go to New York for my 11th birthday. If only I had not begged to see the Empire State Building. If only, if only. If only it was a dream, and Bianca was alive. I shook my head, and curled up into a ball, and laid there, two clean lines from all the tears down my sooty face. I felt a warm hand on my shoulder, and looked up. Stading over me was a tall, blond, tan, freckled boy with a concerned look in his swirling blue eyes. I was confused when my stomach started turning when I saw him, but I ignored it. I pushed his hand away, and ignored his words. All I wanted to do was curl up and die.
Will POV
I walked down the street with my mama and sister, enjoying the nice New York breeze. We went here every summer since I was three. My sister was turning five and I myself was 12. I looked around me and saw a cute boy with black hair, hold his sister's hand. She was holding their mother's hand and they were happily walking down the sidewalk. I saw the boy look over at something, and then he shook his head and continued to talk to sister, who was laughing. It seemed like a good day. I wondered what the boy had seen Though, but shook it off. Then there was a loud BOOM as the middle of the building exploded, leaving the the top to come teeter tottering down. Onto us. My mom and I scrambled out of the way of the debris, but my little sister, Arts, didn't move, just stood there in shock. We tried to pull her pout of the way, but she stood like stone. A large piece of metal sideing came down and time seemed to stop. The metal crashed down on top of her and all you could her was the squelch of her death. I stumbled backwards in shock. My sister was dead. My little baby sister, only turning 5 years old, was dead. I saw the boy from earlier curled up in a ball, covered in soot and few yards away from me. I ran over to check if he was ok and saw he was crying. I didn't see his mom or sister anywhere and I could guess their fate. I tried to tell him it was okay, that he was going to get help, but he pushed me away and started crying again about how it was all his fault. I tried to comfort him until the rescuers came. I decided that I would probably never see him again, so I shrugged off the feeling I had for him.
