-Play! I yelled, slamming the door.
The boy didn't bother look up. He already knew who I was. He put his book down, went to the piano and took place. As soon as his finger touched the keys, I felt calm. Piano had that effect on me. Sitting on the ground, I closed my eyes and let the music take away my anger.
For about 20 minutes, neither of us said a word. We were both lost in thoughts. When he had finished, I thanked him and left his house. As I walked home, I tried to remember how I met the boy. I think it was a year ago.

It was a day a bit like today. I had a fight with my friends and my boyfriend left me. I had run away and got lost. I was a mess. I was sad, angry, panicked. There's was only way to calm down. Classical music. However, I only had my Ipod Nano on me and it had only one classical melody. Normally, Pachelbel's Canon worked on me. But on that day, it didn't. Even if I listened it over and over, it didn't have any effect on me. It only made me more panicked than I already was. I never sensed his presence. I just knew that someone was taking one of my earpieces to put it in their own ear.
-It's too loud, he said. You're gonna destroy your eardrums.
His words brought me back to earth. I was sitting in the middle of a street, crying like crazy. And he was right; my music was WAY too loud.
I didn't know who the boy was. I could see by his uniform that we weren't going to the same school for sure.
-Is Pachelbel's Canon the only symphony you've got?
I nodded, not really knowing how to react.
He then held out his hand, wanting me to take it. I don't know why I did. For all I know, he could've been a killer. But I took his hand and followed him to his house. Somehow, I knew he wasn't gonna hurt me. He led me to a music room. It was stunning. Everywhere, I could only see music instruments. The grand piano in the middle of room was surrounded by guitars, cellos, flutes, drums, and so, so much more.
He made me sit on a chair, asking me to tell him what was the problem. For a whole hour, he listened to me crying about everything that was wrong in my life, while he was playing piano. He never said a word. I liked that. By the end of the hour, he walked me home. He told me that I could come see him whenever I wanted.

Ever since that day, every time I felt angry, sad or even just bored, I would go to his house and he would play for me. He never complained.
But in a full year, I never asked for his name.
