My first date
The adrenalin of seeing him walk up to the door,
The smell of his cologne filled the room
The way he smiled at me,
The butterflies swarming in my stomach.
As we walked to the car he opens the door for me,
We drove to presque island
The fair lit up like northern lights
The smell of cheeseburgers, pizza, and rain filled the air.
The sound of circus music and animal sound and the truck pull sounds,
The sound of people screaming on rides, the rain and the thunder filled the air
The feeling of the rides snug so tight so you don't fall out,
The rides spinning so fast makes you feel like flying
The rain drops flying along with you.
After the rides the taste of a candy apple and dough boy
Holding his hand while walking to the truck pulls
The engines roaring as they pulled stuff
The smell or burning tires and gas
Seeing my cousin in the distance and running up to her and hugging her
My first date was an awesome date I could ever wish for
The way he looked at me, the way his smile lit up his face
I felt so lucky to be on this perfect date with him
