As they were walking Dylan began to recognize some of the surroundings as if where they were was a mirror to his town but a deserted possibly post-apocalyptic mirror.

“ Hey Red where exactly are you taking me?”

“ One, don’t call me Red and two, I’m not taking you anywhere you are just choosing to follow me.” Dylan stopped walking,

“ Look I didn’t ask to be dragged all over my deserted post-apocalyptic town loosing 3 or 4 hours at a time just to be in some place that I have no earthly idea what it is with a girl whose name I still don’t know!” Now it was Reds turn, she stopped moving and turned around then gave Dylan an icy stare.

“ Oh but you did ask to be here, you decided to go through the fog you got yourself here and you made me waste my time just to deal with your wimpy self!” Now they were both yelling in the middle of a dark street in the middle of an empty town.

“ Well I’m sorry for being a curious teenager, and its not every day I get to see my town deserted and my house BURNT DOWN!” They both stared at each other cold icy stares. Dylan’s stare was stonier and icier even with soft blue eyes that were begging to fill with tears. Red looked down towards her toes as Dylan lay down on his back and started crying.  

“ Dude be quiet,”

“ Red what the heck?!”

“ No seriously, I think I hear something,”

“ Red it’s the middle of the-“

“ Shhhhhhut up!” Red slowly put her finger up to her lips and waved her hand at Dylan then picked up his baseball bat. Then held it as if she was getting ready to fight,

“ Red what are you doing?"

“ Dylan Shut Up!” she crouched and walked over towards where Dylan was laying. He was now sitting up struggling to put on his backpack when he noticed a strange light coming from the edge of the woods,

“ Red look out!” Dylan jumped up and tackled Red in a protective sort of way. She pushed him off of her then looked towards the forest. She looked down then mumbled something that sounded like ‘wizards’ then grabbed Dylan’s hand and pulled him off the ground.
