Chapter 6: Declarations

"Let's go." Alexander said and Alexa stood up. She was so engrossed guessing who her sister's ex boyfriend was that she did not even notice that Alexander again held her handd. The guard by the revolving door greeted them and Alexa smiled at him.

"Saan tayo pupunta?" She asked as one the the valets brought Alexander's shiny red top-down BMW near the entrance.

"Brunch." He replied as he opened the door for her. She murmured her thanks and got in.

Twenty minutes later, Alexa was contemplating a very terrible death for Alexander Sandoval. She gripped the steak knife firmly in her hand as she pretended to listen to her godfather discuss her admission to one of the prestigious law schools.

"I know you'll be bored going back to law school, Alexa pero yun lang ang paraan para makapag-take ka ng Philippine bar exam." Atty. Ferdinand Sandoval said smiling at his goddaughter. Alexa and Alexander were seated opposite Lee Ann and Nicholas while their fathers were seated at the ends of the rectangular table. "Anyway, Alexander will be there to look after you kaya wag kang matakot, Iha." He added as Alexa felt Alexander's hand slide down her right knee. Oo nga eh, kung alam nyo lang sana kung anong klaseng looking after ang pinaggagawa nitong hayop na to! She angrily thought but she managed to smile at her godfather.

"Ganun po ba?" She politely said as Alexander's hand travelled upward. Bwisit tong manyakis na to! Siguro naman pag pinatay ko to ngayon dito di ako pababayaan ni Daddy na mabulok sa bilangguan! She grumbled to herself as she glanced angrily at Alexander. A lazy smile spread across his face as his hand continued its exploration under the table.

"Oo nga, akong bahala sayo." He said and he nearly groaned at the sensation of her skin against his. Initially, he only wanted to fluster her; to make her stutter and to make her acknowledge the glaring fact that she wants him as much he wants her. But his little game backfired as his blood sizzled in his veins and his body craved for her.

"Alexander." Atty. Ferdinand Sandoval called and Alexander turned his head to look at his father.

"Yes, Dad?"

"Samahan mo si Alexa bukas sa Ateneo para mag-inquire. Look for Atty. Gerardo Malvar, nakausap ko na sya."

"Hindi na po kailangan." Alexa quickly said as she pushed Alexander's hand off her thigh. "Magpapasama na lang po ako sa driver." She said as she crossed her legs when she felt his hand move upward towards her crotch.

"I don't mind going with you." Alexander smiled engagingly at Alexa as her action trapped his hand in between her thighs. 

 "I'm sure you're busy." Alexa said as she uncrossed her leg and reached down to push his hand away. 

 "I am but it will be a pleasure being in your presence." Alexander said and Nickolai and their father's brows rose.

"You are taking this seriously, Alexander. I'm impressed." Nickolai said as Atty. Ferdinand Sandoval nodded his head in approval.

"Alam mo, Alexa nung una ayaw ni Alex na samahan ka sa mga lakad mo, pero look at him right now he seems to be enjoying it." Alexa's godfather said and she smiled.

"Oo nga po eh mukhang enjoy na enjoy po sya." She said and Alexander chuckled. He finally took his hand off her thigh when the waiter appeared to refill their wine glasses. Ano ba tong pinasok ko? Alexa murmured to herself when she felt Alexander's hand on her thighs again after the waiter left.

Alexander glanced at the woman beside him who kept her face averted. He somehow managed to convince their fathers that she should ride with him and he knew she was fuming mad.

"Alexa..." He called but she pretended not to hear him as she continued to gaze out the window. "Alexa hindi mo ba talaga ako kakausapin?" He tried again but she ignored him. "Pag ako di mo kinausap, I'll stop the car and go down on you." He said and she sputtered indignantly.

"Such debauchery! You're the vilest human being I know!" She said gritting her teeth. "I'm not in the mood to play your little games, you evil spawn!" She added harshly and Alexander laughed. "Now, I suggest you keep your mouth shut before I make your pitiable, useless life shorter!" 

"Wow. Just wow. I love it when you talk dirty, darling. That potty mouth of yours is such a great turn on."

"Just die, maggot!"

"Easy." Alexander replied with a wink and Alexa grumbled irately. Bwisit, ang laking pagkakamali at kamalasan talagang makilala ko tong demonyong to! "For someone so sweet, you have a very colorful vocabulary." He added and Alexa snorted.

"Sino namang nagsabi sayong sweet ako?!"

"I've tasted you, remember?" Alexander asked grinning and Alexa took off her shoe and threw it at him. "Just sleep with me again, Alexa your sexual frustration is starting to get evident." He said laughing as he easily docked her shoe.

"Alam mo ikaw ang asshole mo! Di ka lang asshole, asswipe ka pa! What the hell do you get out of making my life miserable?!"

"I am not trying to make your life miserable." Alexander said.

"Ganun ba? Hindi halata considering that you have been trying to make my existence a living hell ever since I saw you again!"

"I wasn't intentionally trying to do that. Gusto ko lang i-acknowledge mo ako as someone you've met and spent an enjoyable evening with." Alexander said.

"Fine, jerk! You're someone I've met and spent an evening with! Masaya ka na?" She asked and he laughed.

"It doesn't work that way, darling." He said.

"What in the deepest bowels of hell do you want from me, Alexander?" Alexa asked clenching her fists.

"I want you." Alexander replied. "And you will want me whether you like it or not..."

"In your dreams." Alexa retorted.

"We'll see." He said before he glanced at her and grinned.
