Chapter 6: Declarations

"Alexander!" He happily yelled.

"Dustin." Alexander returned the man's smile. "What brought you here, may kailangan ka?" He asked as Dustin eyed Alexa with interest.

"And who is this gorgeous angel beside this stunning baby angel named Lee Ann?" He asked smiling.

"Kuya Dustin talaga!" Lee Ann giggled. "Ate ko po, Kuya." She introduced and Dustin whistled as Alexander stepped inside the elevator.

"Get in." He briskly said looking at Alexa. Lee Ann got inside the elevator first and Alexa followed.

"I haven't introduced myself yet, I'm Atty. Dustin Montemayor. It's a pleasure to finally meet you Atty. Lianna Carbonel." He slickly said.

"Alexa Carbonel." She said. "Hindi pa ako pumapasa sa bar exam dito kaya hindi pa ako abogado sa Pilipinas."

"Don't be humble, Atty. Carbonel; you topped the US bar exams so I'm sure you'll pass the Philippine Bar exams without effort." He said and Alexa gave him a small smile. The elevator opened on the ground floor and she was surprised when Alexander clasped her hand. 

"Let's go." He said before he turned to Dustin. "Let's talk later, Dustin." He added before he gave the other lawyer a curt nod. Without waiting for a reply he left, pulling Alexa with him.

"Bitawan mo ako kung ayaw mong sapakin kita." She whispered through gritted teeth but Alexander ignored her.

"Kuya, is Ate going to ride with you?" Lee Ann asked and Alexander nodded his head.

"Hindi. Sasabay ako sa inyo, Lee." Alexa said.

"Sa akin ka sasabay kasi pag-uusapan natin yung pag enrol mo ng Philippine Law subjects." Alexander interjected. "Sa akin sasabay ang Ate mo, Lee Ann."

"Okay, I'll go tell Dad!" Lee Ann happily said before she ran leaving Alexa with Alexander.

"Alam mo nabwibwisit na ako sayo sa totoo lang!" She mumbled as she shook her hand free from his grasp but he grabbed it again.

"Atty. Sandoval, phone call, Sir." One of the receptionists said and Alexander turned to Alexa ignoring the murderous look on her face.

"Sit here and wait for me." He instructed and Alexa cussed under her breath. She watched Alexander take the phone call and rolled her eyes looking the other way. Sa lahat ng pwede kong maka-one night stand sa buong Boston dito sa isang to pa ako bumagsak. She thought angrily. She found someone looking at her and she smiled. "Hi." She greeted and the petite girl with shoulder length hair and wearing a black suit with a matching red scarf smiled at her.

"Good morning po, Atty. Carbonel." She said and Alexa nearly arched her brow.

"Kilala mo ako?" She asked.

"Opo, meron po kasi kayong malaking picture sa loob ng office ng Daddy nyo." The girl replied. "Ako nga po pala si Eunice, secretary po ni Atty. Montemayor."

"Hello, Eunice. Nice meeting you. I've met your boss." Alexa uttered and Eunice smiled.

"Kamukhang-kamukha nyo po pala talaga ang kapatid nyo; para nga kayong kambal." Eunice said and Alexa politely smiled.

"Si Lee Ann? Oo madami ngang nagsabi."

"Hindi po si Miss Lee Ann, si Miss Lia po yung ex ni Atty.--" She suddenly stopped when she saw Alexander walk towards them.

"Hi, Eunice." Alexander greeted.

"Good morning po, Atty. Sandoval. Sige po akyat na po ako. Nice meeting you po uli, Atty. Carbonel." She said with a slight bow of her head before she headed to the elevators. May ex si Lia sa mga Sandoval? She asked herself. Sino?
