It was my birthday, yay!

Mom and me went to the carnival but stopped walking.

"I have a gift for you" mom says softly.

I looked at her and she smiles widely.

She gives me a picture and i see my...Dad?

No, he is not my dad.

He's just the jerk daniel. Who left us.

"Mom. You know that Dad is gone. He's with another family now. He's gone" i say.

"But he is still your father." Mom leaned to me.

"Mom. I don't want growing up with this picture. I'm 8. And i still have to live a thousand years. " i say.

I gets the picture from my hands and put it on a red cute wallet and gives it to me.

"Mo---" she cut off by now putting it on my pocket.

We walk around the carnival.

Mom stopped.

Then my wallet fell and i picked it up.

I turned to see mom was out of site.

"Mom!!" I scream.

"Mom!!" I scream again.

I start to run and find her.

I stopped at one cafeteria and start crying.

"Are you lost?" One familiar voice asks.

I turn to see....Dad?!

I didn't reply him but i nodded.

Does he even remember me?

"C'mon" he says holding my hand.

Then one security asks if we're alright.

Daniel smiles and says "girl's lost" he explained. The secu nodded and left.

I looked at Daniel. He never changed but he doesn't remember me.

He looks forward and then two girls comes near him.

One lady went to him and kissed his cheeks and held his arm.

He takes his hand off mine and one little girl comes to him and pulls his hand but daniel's hand has force.

"Let's go to the caterpillar!!" The little girl shouted.

We are the same age, i think.

"Okay. You're so hyper. Haha. C'mon" daniel says with the biggest smile i have seen.

I just cry more.

They left and i stand there alone.

Then i see mom crying.

I run to her and let her stand up.

"Mom.. Let's just go home" i say.

We went home and i lay my self down on my small bed.

We were poor and mom doesn't work anymore cause no one would catch the fish she would sell.

I start taking a nap.
