I awoke and everything from the previous weeks washed over me like an ocean. He left. The love of my life, of my existence left me. He wasn't coming back, he said it would be as if he were never here. As if. He was my love, my rock, my one true meaning for life, he was my world. No! Stop! Stop thinking of him Bella!

I got slowly out of bed, my muscles aching from lying on the bed for so many days and weeks, all because of him. I cut that thought off, I was done thinking about it, it had officially been a month, he wasn't coming back. I wanted to be stronger than that. I took off my pajamas and got into a pair of jeans and a comfy sweatshirt. I pulled my hair into a messy ponytail and slowly walked out of my room, not quite sure where I was headed.

I heard voices coming from the kitchen as I hopped down the last step, I recognized one as my father, one as Billy Black, and another that was familiar... I turned into the room and was surprised to see Billy, my father and Jacob all sitting around our table. Jacob got up quickly at the sight of me and knocked his chair over. He blushed and put it back on its legs. He walked over to me and enveloped me in a huge hug.

I melted into his embrace, surprising myself, I was usually only that comfortable with Ed--- I cut myself off. I leaned my head into Jacobs shoulder and smiled a very small smile. We broke our embrace after a moment and I smiled at him slightly, he gave a huge grin back.

"Glad to see your up Bells." Charlie said.

"I thought I'd better get up, didn't want to stay in bed all day." I mumbled.

"Well, I'm glad you're up too. I was hoping to see you," Jacob said with a smile.

"Thanks Jake, how long have you guys been here?" I asked.

"Oh, a couple of hours. We were actually just getting ready to head out. Jake wants to work on his car, and I have a few things to do with Harry." Billy said.

I frowned, Jacob noticed, "Uh dad, maybe I could stay here with Bella and she could bring me back up to the Rez when she's ready? Or she could come help me work on the Rabbit?" Jacob asked hopefully.

"I'd like to see your car!" I said quickly.

"Fine with me. You really should get out more Bella, you've been locked away in your room way too much." Charlie said.

"I don't care," Billy said, "Have fun,"

"Do you mind if I take Jake in the truck?" I asked Billy.

"Not at all, Harry was coming to pick us up so it would actually be easier if we didn't have to stop at the house." Billy said

"Thanks Billy. Let's go Jake." I said.

Jake and I walked in a comfortable silence to the car, the only sound the squishing of our feet on the wet grass. I hopped into the divers' seat and Jake sunk into the passenger seat.

"How have you been Bella? And don't you dare say fine." Jake said.

I sighed heavily, "It's been hard Jake, it's only been a month, but it seems so much longer. I can't even think of them--- of h---hi---him, without---" I choked up and tears started leaking out of my eyes.

Jake scootched across the seat and wrapped his arms around me, why did I have to be so... Pathetic? I felt horrible, I didn't want Jake to see me like that. But at the same time, I couldn't help myself, I was broken.

"It's ok Bells, I'm here for you, and I always will be. I'm not going anywhere Bella." Jake said.

"You don't know how much those words mean to me Jake. I'm sorry, I just totally fell apart on you. I'm not usually like this trust me." I said, my voice cracking.
