Hi everyone this is my first book. Before we continue onto my book please read all the boring stuff first. I appreciate all constructive criticism but I don't appreciate people telling me how to write my book.

Sometimes I imagine my life was different. Sometimes I imagine that I didn't stray away from the orphanage that night. Sometimes I wish I didn't follow the lights to a beautiful mansion. Sometimes I wish I hadn't met those three boys. That night changed my life and there was no going back now.

I am a part of an elite underworld organisation, money and blood is a daily occurrence in my life. But it wouldn't have been if I had never met those boys.  I am Alessia and this is my story.

I silently hid under my tattered blanket while Sister June checked to see we were all asleep. As she walked past my bed she paused and I tried to even my breathing out so she wouldn't get suspicious. After a moment's pause she walked away and I calmed my breathing once again. I heard the door creak shut and peeked under my blanket...she had finally gone.

Scrambling out of my uncomfortable bed, I tried to fix my hair the best I could. Smoothing my brunette locks down. There was a party going on in the big mansion around the corner and after years of watching the lights outside the orphanage window I was going to finally see them. I had begged Sister June to take me to the many parties they held, but Sister June was crazy. She believed the people who lived there worked for the devil. I had heard many rumours about the mansion, people said a powerful family lived there. I didn't care about the family, all I cared about was the lavish parties they held. Sister June hated the fascination I held, as much as she tried to beat it out of me I still was fascinated. The difference was I now knew to keep my mouth shut instead of asking questions.

I navigated my way to the back door easily, having practised it many times. After a couple of minutes I pushed the orphanages back door open and slipped into the night. Pulling my second hand jacket together I followed the noise towards the mansion. Stumbling slightly in the dark I saw the mansion come into view.

The mansion stood tall and domineering, gold and silver specks of colour. Laughter and music played, it was beautiful but at the same time I couldn't move my legs any closer. Something was off, I could feel it. Taking a deep and scolding myself for acting like Sister June, I pulled my jacket closer and moved towards the window, crouching down so I wouldn't been seen.

Peering through the gold window I was met with a thick red curtain. Huffing I decided to head back, there was no point trying my luck any longer. As I started to walk back I heard a door slam and loud voices. I quickly hid in the bush as I washed two people come through a door into the open. I squinted trying to make out there forms, it looked like two men. One stocky and fat, the other tall and well built. I closed my eyes and prayed they didn't come any closer as their voices grew louder and nearer.

'Sir is there a problem? ' the stocky man said. I couldn't see their faces but I could hear the anxiousness in his voice.

'My father is not as observant as me anymore. My old man has lost his touch, nevertheless he is in charge until he decides to do us all a favour and die. I see what he doesn't, I know when someone is betraying us' the tall man replied.

Two more men come out, standing next to the tall guy. In the darkness I see they resemble more like the tall one and conclude they must be related somehow.

I watch the short man stutter as I bite my lip and shiver. I need to get back, I should have never come. As I watch the men converse I suddenly have the urge to pee. Cursing my weak bladder, I cross my legs the best I can.

I hear a click and freeze, it is too dark to see exactly what the noise was but I have a strong suspicion as I see a shape closely resembling a gun in the tall man's hand. Oh god I'm going to witness a murder and I'm going to pee myself.

Closing my eyes in anticipation I wait and wait and wait. Nothing...

I hear a rustling and I feel my hair being yanked. Crying out at the sudden pain, I fall on my behind and look up to see the three tall men, the other short guy nowhere to be seen. I can't make out there faces properly but just being in there presence I know I should have never come. As if confirming my suspicion I feel a cold metal object touch my forehead.

I'm going to die.
