As I sat in the trees, overlooking the castle, I saw as the guests and servants walked around excitedly, waiting for the guest of honor to arrive.
Look at them, acting like everything's okay. I thought to myself. I looked at the duffel bag sitting on the limb next to me, inside was the only thing I have left of my mother; a cherry red dress with a slight poof on the bottom. As I was reminiscing about my mother, I heard a faint humming coming from below me.
I looked down to see six black Cadillac's surrounding a newer white chariot, like something you'd see in a fairy tale; two on each side, one in the front and one in the back.
Then I knew, the guest of honor had arrived, and my mission had begun. I quickly jumped from the tree; making little sound, with my duffel bag in hand, I quickly looked for a place to change into the dress. And started making my way down the cobbled roadway to the castle. As I approached the large, jaw like gate, two guards turned to face me; probably hearing my black heels clicking on the stone path.
"Hold dere little missy, this party is invitation only." The guard with the mullet and terribly crooked teeth said to me.
" I thought people with such high social status didn't need an invitation." I replied in my most posh and proper accent. Then the other guard stepped in.
" Sorry lady, no invitation no party." He said in a cockney accent.
" Are you really going to make me bother the king on the biggest night of the year?" I instantly saw terror flash through the guards' eyes.
"N-no ma'am you doesn't." The first guard stuttered.
"Well, I guess I'll be on my way then." And I started to slowly saunter away, my heels clicking on the cobblestone path.
