Summary
The summary written did its job very well. It gave the readers a good idea of what the book is about but, it also caught their attention. I thoroughly enjoyed how the bang_the_drums has shown Botha intense snap shot of the story but also a clear description of what the book will be about.
Story
I admire the authors ability to write such a incredible story based on real life events that occurred in the United States. I also acknowledge the reason behind writing this particular story was to draw attention to the horrors of what happened that day. The author did an amazing job of that. This story is very original and they brought that day to life for people who weren't around to experience it. The characters acted realistically. The authors idea to write it as a fanfiction so, the author didn't need to spend as much time making you fall in love with the characters was brilliant for the purpose of this story but, not needed. The reason why I say this is because bang_the_drums made us fall in love with the characters children who don't exist in real life. My only issues with this story is that it wasn't long enough and that some characters such as Calum wasn't developed enough. That would have made the tragedies of that day much more saddening for the readers. Also I would've liked to see more of the after effects of 911 on these characters but, the author did give us a bit of closure with a time jump to end this heart wrenching story. The author was very smart with the way they changed point of views. It kept the readers on edge and reading to find out what happens next. It also shows how 911 didn't just impact those who were in the buildings. Overall I enjoyed this tragic story, it is definitely worth the read no matter what fandom you are in. This is not just a book for 5 seconds of summer fans or Lashton fans either anyone can enjoy this story because enough information was given about the characters so you don't need to know who they are.
