You woke up from your bed, pushing the blankets aside as you yawned and stretched. You jumped out of bed, glancing at the calendar. December 20th. You sighed. You couldn't wait any longer til Christmas. Your thoughts raced. What did mom give me for Christmas? Is it what I asked for?  You grinned as an idea rose in your head.

You peered out of your room and looked at your mom's door. She was still asleep, snoring as loud as can be. You snuck out of your room and down into the basement. When you reached the basement, you walked into a room. You pushed the curtain away as you saw a white present with red ribbons sitting on a table.

You smiled as you tore at the red ribbons, revealing a box. You looked at it, completely isolating it from the present. A... Tattletail..? You shrugged, pulling the Tattletail out of the box and holding it in your arms. It immediately began to talk before you could really study the purple creature. "Me Tattletail! Me love you!" You jumped at the sudden noise. "Uh.. Hi?" You muttered to it.

After a few seconds of silence, it then began to beg and complain, "Give me a treat!" Your eyes widened. What? Real food or-? The purple Tattletail didn't stop begging. "Give me a treat!" It demanded. Every time it asked for a treat seemed to grow louder and louder. You felt forced to give it what it wanted, so you traveled upstairs to the fridge. "Happy biiiirthday!" It laughed. With it still demanding for a treat, you fed it what was in your fridge. After you fed it, it giggled, "Hee-hee-hee!"

After you thought you were done meeting the critter's demands, it complained again. "Brrrush me!" You sighed, making your way to the couch beside the Christmas tree. "Me love play time with you!" It giggled as you glared at it. You picked up the brush and brushed it's fluffy fur. After being brushed, it giggled again. "Hee-hee-hee!" You narrowed your eyes at it as it began to yawn. "Ahhhh.. Me tired..!"

You went back to the basement and pushed the curtain away to reveal the table. "Tattletail go night-night!" It called as you put the Tattletail back in its present. You yawned, going back to bed after taking care of the Tattletail. Before going to your room, you heard the telephone ring. You decided not to answer it. Once reaching your room, you laid down onto the bed, drifting off to a deep sleep.
